Burn of the Day

Donald R. McClarey
Cradle Catholic. Active in the pro-life movement since 1973. Father of three, one in Heaven, and happily married for 43 years. Small town lawyer and amateur historian. Former president of the board of directors of the local crisis pregnancy center for a decade.
Catholic clerics will always push back against an Administration that opposes illegal immigration, deposes narco-terrorist dictators, and emasculates a would-be nuclear terrorist state. But let an Administration support and advocate abortion, transgenderism, and homosexual marriage, and these same clerics go out of their way to ingratiate themselves with such a President and his staff. Leo is no different than Francis in policy even if he’s smarter and nicer.
“The Holy See is indeed monitoring the situation in Cuba with great concern, particularly due to rising tensions between Cuba and the United States. Pope Leo XIV has called for “sincere and effective dialogue” to prevent further suffering for the Cuban people.”
The amount of projection (and TDS) required for this to be put forth is truly beyond comprehension.
Waiting for the Vatican to call for “sincere and effective dialogue” between God and Satan.
Still looking through my Douay Rheims text for Christ’s commandment to dialogue with evil. Just saying.
Those who believe this war to be unjust must believe two things:
1) That the Iranian regime cannot be trusted when it consistently says “Death to America, we are your enemy.”
2) That the Iranian regime can certainly be trusted when it says “We have no nuclear weapons and will not pursue them.”
There is a reason why the Church of Good Feelings is also the Church of Blind Obedience. Use of sound logic tends to undermine both titles.
Archbishop Timothy Broglio’s comments are laughable, particularly that the war is “hard to cast… as something that would be sponsored by the Lord.” Did Our Lord “sponsor” the modern socialist welfare state, mass illegal
Immigration, or pandemic policies and corresponding suspension of liturgical celebrations and shutdowns, all of which our laughable bishops whole or in significant part are supporting or have supported?
But this is just mercenary, how one sells oneself to get a cardinal’s red hat.
Thank you, Archbishop of the Military Services, for your steadfast support of the mission being carried out by the military you serve in…oh, wait.
It is obvious that this bishop has no idea what he is talking about. 57 years of Death to.Ametica and we are supposed to “dialogue”. Shove your dialogue. This miserable regime killed 30,000 of its own people. Means nothing to Pope Frank II and his cohorts.
Frank, you are 100% correct and can look through all the good English translations wherein the result will be the same. No translation contains a commandment from Christ to dialogue with evil, but plenty contain commands to combat evil. And yes, I have checked both Catholic and Protestant translations: ESVCE, RSVCE, NRSVCE, NLTCE, NABRE (yuck!), KJV, NKJV, NASB, LSB, NIV (another yuck!), etc. The same is true of the Biblia Vulgata and the Greek New Testament.
John concurs
Look to yourselves that you do not lose what we worked for but may receive a full recompense.
Anyone who is so “progressive” as not to remain in the teaching of the Christ does not have God; whoever remains in the teaching has the Father and the Son.
If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him in your house or even greet him;
for whoever greets him shares in his evil works.
