What part of the NA campaign does the game involve? After all, Wavell pretty much defeated the Italians before Rommel arrived and would have continued to do so if Churchill hadn’t diverted his best troops to a futile defense of Greece and Crete (Churchill was a menace as a military commander). I agree that the game would be best for people with lots of free time: lifers as you said, or maybe long-term patients in mental hospitals.
All of it from the Brits v. the Italians in 1940 through the surrender of the Afrika Korps in Tunisia in 1943. In addition to the Campaign Game there are 14 pages of scenarios.
Is it hilarious (or just true!) that all Italians need to do from badly disorganized -26 to ok -10 is enough water to boil pasta???
I wonder if there is a Royal Navy rum rule… 🤔
If I wind up in a nursing home, I hope to have enough grey matter to play such games!

My sons tried to find this some years ago, since it’s legendary in the world of wargames. They had a hard time finding it. I think they found one, but it was crazy expensive.
I’ve owned it and sold it off more than once. It is hard to justify shelf space for it when you know you are never going to play it.
