I do not think there is adequate treatment in contemporary catechesis of the remarkable string of prophecies in the Old Testament that find their completion in Christ. All Catholics need to be familiar with these prophecies, for they are an anchor for our Faith. Since 2011 I had been running a series of posts on these prophecies during Advent of each year up through 2021. Here they all are:
Could not agree more! The prophecies, after all, are a motive of credibility for the Faith. They help prove that it is reasonable to believe our holy Faith. And the cumulative force of the many prophecies (that you have so admirably laid out) is utterly unique in the history of the world.
How were you able to access these older posts? Since the site revamp, I haven’t found any way of getting to posts older than about a week.
I am able to access them through the Windows dashboard. Using a search engine I am able to access them also.
Jesus knew the prophesies about Himself. Mary knew the prophesies about the God made man, her Son, the Promised Redeemer.

Another great Messianic Psalm (which you may already have planned for the future) would be Psalm 109 (Dixit Dominus Domino) which our Lord quotes of Himself and which St Paul applies to the Son in the opening chapters of Hebrews.
