Thought for the Day

That’s perfect!
I often think that what the Catholic Church needs is a massive reset. It seems like we are going down roads that end nowhere good, and they’re being traveled with a decided lack of enthusiasm. There is an obvious (to me, at least) need to weed things out, return to the basics of the faith, and present a true Catholic Gospel way in today’s world. The Church now seems to be the UN Lite.
One last opinion (I know everyone is dying to hear what I have to say!). We can learn a great deal from how the Church in Poland handled being under communism and apply to today’s world. Unfortunately, that will never happen.
Matthew-
I think the laity do not have the patience of the Poles.
We are tired of being kicked and are getting weary of resisting the desire to kick back. Restraint will not last forever. Even Athanasius eventually slapped Arius.
I am not counseling violence, but men are fallible. Not all of us will hold out forever. Someone, somewhere will crack, to his detriment. Deliver us, O Lord.
Mathew:
It was Saint Nicholas who punched Arius in the head. Saint Nicholas spent two days in jail for the violence. It was worth it.
Mea Culpa!
Nicholas *is* the correct saint.
