October 19, 1984: Martyrdom of Blessed Jerzy Popiełuszko

We are to speak the truth when others are silent. Express love and respect when others sow hatred. Be silent when others speak. Pray when others swear. Help when others don’t want to. Forgive when others can’t. Enjoy life when others ignore it.

 Blessed Father Jerzy Popiełuszko

The Communist government of Poland in 1984 could only murder him.  They could not stop him.  A saint for iron times.  A saint for coming days.

I made time for this documentary.
I’m happy that I did.
I shared it with our mens league.

A communist America is a goal for the left. We must take the House and the Senate.

God help us.

A great man, Blessed Popieluazko.
His death reminds me of this great Jesuit, St. Jean de Brébeuf whom we honor this day.
Torn apart for the faith.

Sad.
Some Jesuits would rather tare apart the faith.

There’s one thing this has taught me: You can’t enslave a free man. The only person who can do that to a man is himself. No, sir—you can’t enslave a free man. The most you can do is kill him.” Robert Anson Heinlein.

There are cousins of Father Jerzy in the South Hills suburbs of Pittsburgh, close to where I live.
I remember the outrage at the news of his murder. There is a Polush gentleman who posts historical videos each Friday on YouTube with English subtitles..two of his biggest patrons live in Alaska and Chicago. Last Friday’s video was about the murder of Fr. Jerzy. The channel is Zakazane Historie.

The life giving waters are for all men of all nations, however there is one nation that has tapped into this source of life giving waters revealing courage that exemplifies the Christ, for those who frequent the well.

The Poles know this water.
They have allowed the master potter to create near perfect vessels to carry this water to their neighbors.

God bless them.

Every year when Don posts this article about Father Jerzy Popieluszko, I am reminded that he died a free and unconquered man. What a hero! The reason why the Bible says that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of all wisdom is because when you fear the Lord, then you are free from fearing any man, and no man has any power over you. As Heinlein (ironically an agnostic or atheist – I don’t know which) wrote (which I quoted above in previous years), the most that you can do to a free man is kill him. And by making Father Popieluszko a martyr, the godless communists lost their power over him, for according to another proverb, a tyrant’s reign ends when he dies, but a martyr’s reign is just beginning.

Everyone can meditate on the Lord’s Prayer for more than an eternity.
Faith is a gift from God asked for or not. Religion is man’s response to the gift of Faith from God.
Religion, therefore is a relationship with God, a personal, individual relationship with God. Like man each and every individual person is unique as is his relationship with his Creator, Who keeps him in existence from one instance to the next instance; and his Redeemer, Who died in love for him and the Love Who proceeds from the Father and the Son, the Holy Spirit Who is Divine Providence.
From Google:”Circumcession” is a theological term describing the mutual indwelling and interpenetration of the three divine persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) within the Christian Trinity. It is synonymous with the Greek term perichoresis and emphasizes the unified nature of the Trinity, where each person exists in and with the others, without confusion.
At Mass, the Holy Trinity is present through circumcession.
Each and every human being acknowledges and relates to the Holy Trinity in their unique and passionate way in response to the gift of Faith from God.
At Mass the priest acts in persona Christi offering our sacrifice of relating to God to God. This is a closed relationship between the Lover and the Beloved.
No one can interpret our relationship with God during Mass as no one has access to our mind and soul but God and the person, himself.
Anyone who tries to interpret another person’s relationship with God can only fail as witches, warlocks and sorcerers are condemned to hell.
Anyone who tries to prevent a man’s relationship with his God is preventing Freedom of religion, a civil right and the concurrent Freedom of speech, press and peaceable assembly, all needed at Mass. Civil rights are necessary for the growth and prosperity of the individual parishioner in the Catholic Church.
If the parishioner needs the Traditional Latin Mass to aid his relationship with God and his journey to heaven…to interfere with the parishioner’s journey to heaven is to cripple his relationship with God and endanger his journey to heaven.
Father Jerzy Popieluszko could have read the U. S. Constitution from the pulpit and still be martyred. Father Jerzy (George) only spoke of Christ and freedom.
Jesus, Mary and Joseph save souls.
