Waking up from a bad dream to see America coming back into her role as the leader of free societies.
Trump is doing one hell of a job Making America Great Again. He is by no means perfect in his steps to free America from the chains of political correctness but he is chipping away at it, and gaining the respect that Biden lost through poor associations and choices.
Joe Biden was not a President worthy of the position. Professional snake oil salesmen, yes, but not a leader of the most blessed country ever established on earth.
I might have preferred something more generic like ‘Department of the Armed Services’, but this will do. It has history and it reminds people that our military goes on the offense.
I believe George Carlin once spoke about his problems with euphemisms. And he wasn’t the only one.
How many millions of dollars does this kind of thing cost, though?

My concern with this, and with so much of what Trump does, is the precedent.
What prevents the inevitable loony Dem from re-renaming it Department of Peacekeeping or worse?
As if they wouldn’t do it anyway. One of the things I like about Trump is that he is not simply reactive but takes the initiative. Being purely reactive is the besetting sin of conservatives in the political realm.

Saw that economist Peter Schiff tweeted that he liked the name change, but added that if we’re renaming Departments then in the interests of fairness we should also rename the Department of the Treasury to the Department of the Debt.
Sadly, the man has a point.
