Go here to read the decision. The DC Circuit found that since Congress has provided other means by which the disputes raised by the Plaintiffs could be addressed, a District Court injunction is improper. This shoots in the head the main method by which foes of the Administration have sought to stop the downsizing of Executive Branch agencies. As Professor Turley notes, this is a major win for the Trump Administration.

I’m a little disappointed in Trump at the moment.
The Labor party (the left) just got voted in for a second term in the federal elections over the weekend. By a landslide. Well, one could argue the opposition lost it because of their abysmal campaigning.
Although clearly that’s not Trumps fault, certain Liberal Party (that’s the conservatives in Australia) senators used Trump slogans and catch phrases during the election campaign which media commentators believe killed the party’s chances of election.
But to add salt to the wound of defeat for those of us who didn’t vote for the left, Trump has come out and done an entire backflip on his opinion on the re-elected PM Anthony Albanese – going from from disliking him to having a “warm and friendly” congratulatory phone conversation…say what? And ontop of that, Peter Dutton, the opposition who conceded with an abysmal defeat, has been disregarded by Trump in Trumps own admission he “has never heard of Dutton.”
Thank you Mr Trump for admitting support for a PM we now have to painfully endure for another term.
Trump takes his trolling too far sometimes and aims it at the wrong people. It’s not helpful.
My condolences on the election results. Trump is sui generis. What works for him will not work for other candidates. As for his attitude to Albanese Trump is looking toward trade negotiations with China, now that the Chinese have caved in face of worker unrest. Australian support is important in the lead up to those negations and Trump is always the pragmatist.
This certainly is a win, but I fear we will ultimately have to depend on Roberts and Barrett to uphold it. The panel included two Trump appointments from his first term, plus one disseting lefty. My fear is that the heavily leftist DC Circuit will almost certainly grant rehearing en banc and reverse itself, forcing Trump to appeal once again. Another month before any resolution, at least.
It’s the business of the Australian voting public to reward and punish politicians. You have the option of Pauline Hanson, which you do not take.
