Biden has pardoned the members of the January 6 committee, Doctor Fauci and General Mark Milley.  This of course removes their ability to plead the Fifth before Congressional investigating committees or in regard to DOJ investigations.  The pardons do nothing to insulate them from civil law suits.  I don’t think we have ever had a more lawless administration.

I cannot recall who recently said that popular culture and mass entertainment makes the case for villains because we are, in fact, ruled by villains. The DoJ employees who gave the execrable Merrick Garland a standing ovation deserve a quick ticket to the unemployment line.

Amen, Art. I thought it was considerate of the DOJ crowd to appear en masse in a video, thus making the task of identifying and firing them so much easier.

Additional thought: now that the Junta, over the signature of a mental incompetent, has thoroughly ruined the Presidential pardon power by grossly abusing it, perhaps it’s time that power was defined and restricted by Congress.

Cool, I’m going to try this loophole the next time I go to confession! Blanket absolution without any contrition or penance!

Why is almost former SECDEF Austin not on the list? Frank, you are on a roll, keep going.

If we could ever get the legacy media to tell the truth, questioning under oath in front of Congress at the risk of a perjury charge without the ability to claim the 5th would be awesome. Jesus coming tomorrow is more likely.

Of course, Biden being Biden, he tried to revise the pardon power on his way out the door the same way he tried to amend the Constitution the other day, declaring by fiat that accepting the pardon didn’t amount to an admission of guilt. Which would, in theory, still leave them free to attempt to invoke their Fifth Amendment protection against self-incrimination.

I expect the resulting court battles to extend through much of Trump’s term–at least through midterms, when Democrats are expected to retake at least the House–preventing the relevant committees from ever getting the needed testimony.

Mark Milley should be recalled to active duty, questioned about his actions in Afghanistan and his calls to the Chinese military saying he would stop Trump. He should be busted down to a Private and then tried for Treason which can’t be pardoned.
