The migrants in question are not refugees. They’ve arrived her consequent to political signaling. As for those from various places in the Near East, North Africa, and Central Asia, they could have and should have been cared for proximate to their countries of origin with an eye to their repatriation. If you were going to resettle them, the apposite places would be culturally similar places – ie other Arab countries, not Germany. Well, the wars are over and its time to go home. We can provide reconstruction aid.

migrants are helped here in america. they receive food, clothing, health care, education and shelter.

helping them return to the country of their religion is not what the pope is calling a grave sin.

ignoring their immediate physical and spiritual needs is, depending on how desperate those needs are.
