Innocent human beings, and none are more innocent than those living in a womb.
Pro-life
- Donald R. McClarey
Donald R. McClarey
Cradle Catholic. Active in the pro-life movement since 1973. Father of three, one in Heaven, and happily married for 43 years. Small town lawyer and amateur historian. Former president of the board of directors of the local crisis pregnancy center for a decade.
I remember when I was in my 20’s and had a little more of a “damn the torpedoes” mentality, I would deliberately pick arguments with people who made the “pro-lifers are one-track, single issue voters” case by reminding them that abortion is, at heart, “the” issue.
A society that butchers its babies is not one worth saving. If the most innocent are not protected, we are a barbarian society.
Actually, that may be unfair to the barbarians of yore.
Radical.
We must spread that radical doctrine by imitating and advancing the author. That is the final soultion to ending abortion worldwide. The change of hearts. When the pews are filled with other radicals who hear the authors words and appropriately act upon those words, then and only then will the fight for the unborn be a victory.
Stay radical. Frequent the sacraments. Love your enemies. Work on the sanctification of yourself and as that work becomes perfected other individuals who are not radicals will beg you to show them The Way. You will. Abortion will vanish as we know it today. Promiscuity will be annihilated as virtues become a sought after remedy to counter the ills of a fallen culture.
The hole that each restless hearts are trying to fill, will finally accept that it’s only true application, which calms all the restlessness, is Christ himself.
The radical of the manger.
This is the Light that dispels all Darkness and it is not impossible.
Imagine, conceive and believe.
The Holy Family.
Well said.
Unfortunately the language used by pro-abortionists is the issue. A woman’s “choice” and “her body her choice” masks the fact that abortion is murder of another human being. One who is innocent and defenceless. I mean how dare anyone tell liberated and empowered women what to do with their bodies. We can tell men to stop being “masculine” and “toxic” and how to move and blink and breathe. But these women have their heads so far up their behinds, that even confronting them with the truth of exactly what abortion is, is outrageous to them. You only have to watch clips of pro-life activists such as Kristen Mercer Hawkins on university campuses trying to reason with some of these women to see the entitlement oozing out of their pores.
“But these women have their heads so far up their behinds, that even confronting them with the truth of exactly what abortion is, is outrageous to them.” -Ezabelle
The days are coming when these women will be forced to come up for air, and when they do it will be our duty to introduce them to TRUTH, the person. Our Lady will do it through us.
For those of us who know the Truth and are daily or weekly nourished at His altar, an unmistakable wake-up call is coming and many a liberated and empowered woman will fall to their knees and cover themselves in ashes. They will repent and feel the sting of their choices. Desperation and the weight of their guilt is only remedied by their new found relationship with Christ in Holy Catholic Church. Expect this worldwide examination of conscience. It will be an act of great mercy for all. To see your soul as God see’s it. Through you they will come to understand that this isn’t the end of their lives, but the beginning of their new life in Christ.
St. Gregory wrote of St. Basil: “We seemed to be two bodies with a single spirit. Our single object and ambition was virtue and a life of hope in the blessings that are to come.”
Is not the blessings to come a life where no innocent child is killed in the womb?
Is not human life sacred?
Is all hope lost, in the mind and heart of a pregnant woman who only see’s the death of her offspring as a hope that gives herself a “new life” free of the burdens, responsibilities and fears of bringing her child into the world? Is that the hope that fuels the ” empowered liberal women” of the 21st century?
Until they embrace Faith, Hope and Charity the blood will continue to spill upon the soil of America. Innocent blood.
