I’m glad they picked a washed out comedian to be his voice
So, this is going to be a comedy audiiobook? I’ll bet it will be a million laughs.
Appropriately enough, a comedian, and an unfunny one at that. First pope in history to have the narcissistic gall to publish an autobiography while still in office, and as far as is known, only the third pope ever to write one. The first, that of Pius II, entitled Commentaries, was published in the mid-16th Century, 120 years after his death. The second, also published posthumously, was that of John XXIII, who probably never intended for his personal journals to be published, as far as I can tell without reading it (which I have no intention of doing, FWIW. I’m too old to waste my time on it, to be blunt.)
Usquequo, Domine?
The “What me worry pope” ought to worry
Why on earth is the Vicar of Christ writing an autobiographer? Did anyone just say Narcissist…me me me
The unkind side of me has some titles to suggest that are borrowed from the works of Dostoevsky. One of them is Notes from the Underground–the nicest one, actually.
Ezabelle-
I’d like to remind you that Francis declined to adopt the title Vicar of Christ.
With all due respect to you TBO – who cares what Francis wants. He is the Pope and The Vicar of Christ. It’s not lost on the millions of Catholics he is not living up to the role.
