PopeWatch: Peak America

After decades of treating Popes with utter disdain, the Jesuit rag finds a Pope they can get behind, even asserting, hilariously, that those who oppose their Pope are opposing the Holy Spirit, Leftists quite willing to resort to papiolotry when it suits their purposes.

Amen to Donald and DavidWS. There’s a spirit involved, alright, but he ain’t holy.
I know we are required by Christ Himself to pray for these people, and I do, and I really would never wish Hell on anyone. But if these false shepherds and their sycophants don’t repent, I’ll not be mourning their fate.

Jesus falls the third time.
How exhausting. He’s ripped apart from the scourging, almost died there chained to the pillar.
Hours before that, he was chained in a prison, awaiting the midnight false testimony from a kangaroo court. No sleep. No rest. As he carries the cross he’s beaten even more. He stumbled and fell a third time. He’s extremely exhausted.

They forced a bystander a help him.
Simon.

Reluctantly he helps our Lord to his feet and shoulders the heaviest portion of the cross himself, knowing full well that this condemned man is spent.

In our lifetime we will have moments to help shoulder the burden. The current chastisement is nothing more than Calvery of twenty centuries ago. Maybe right now we are called to be Simons. How then are we to help?

Prayers.

Prayers and sacrifices. Hold fasts. Triple our efforts. Jesus from the cross says; Father forgive them…for they know not what they do.

Forgiveness has a power that reaches beyond human understanding.

In this light, please forgive and help to usher in the final victory promised of old. That, in my poor opinion, is shouldering the weight of today’s cross. He who see’s everything and loves sinners like myself can appreciate our reluctant help in this moment in time.

Is not one drop of His most precious blood enough to completely transform the world?

Then there is a reason that this chastisement is currently being waged. Let’s trust that our efforts to carry our and the church’s cross be refreshment to our Savior.

Or are we bystanders with only pity for the unfolding event?

I’ll believe the Jesuits and their rag America magazine aren’t being partisan hacks for this pontificate—that they truly believe that to have misgivings about the direction a Pope takes the Church regarding morals and doctrine is a failure to trust the Holy Ghost— the day the Jesuits and America also mount a full-throated defense of Humanae Vitae.

Until then, they can spare me their concern-trolling and stick to what they do best: shilling for sodomy and the Democrats.
