Over the soon to be 15 years of the blog we have had hundreds of regular commenters, defined by me as more than ten comments. Their contributions have helped the blog to thrive for a decade and a half. If you haven’t commented in a while please say hi in the comboxes.

I just want to say that I appreciate this site. It is one of the few places left in the Catholic blogosphere that still allows a relatively free and open discussion. Most of the rest have either shut down the comments section altogether, or have taken steps to turn their sites into boring echo chambers. Thanks Donald. Okay, now I’ll shut up.
Thank you GP! I always like robust debate and I am quite aware that I learn from other points of view. Might not agree, but I learn.
I comment occasionally and sometimes forward a page to other people who AREN’T EVEN CATHOLIC! The Errol Flynn post from a couple of weeks ago for example. I check this site every day.
I’ve read regularly, commented occasionally and authored even less often. One thing bothers me about the comments–there is not very often a spirit of loving one’s enemies. So much anger! That was my attitude 30,50,70 years ago…after my conversion I tried (and am still trying to follow the Christ’s injunction, “pray for those who persecute you.” Even if it be as Fr. Groeschel’s prayer for Madonna, that she convert and go to a secluded nunnery.
Always enjoy reading the articles and comments. Those who disagree with opinions contrary to their own, usually manage do so respectfully. A very good thing to see. Congrats on 15 years!
I appreciate a place to rant every now and then. I think I won a rant award one time. Forgot to thank all the little people 😂
Bob has a good point.
Hi!
This is a good site. I think my father would have liked your posts about history and war analysis. His brother, my uncle, would have deeply appreciated LCQ’s posts. He was a submariner himself, and was involved in a power system in his later years.
.
I’m not as active online as I used to be, and my comments on this (I use an alias) and other sites have gone down quite a bit, but I tune in daily.
Definitely, this is one of the best Catholic blog of the world. I published a book on Just Wsr in Brazil. I enjoy when the blog discusses warfare.
Congrats. Keep moving along Our Lady and Our Lord.

I’ve been reading this blog daily for over ten years now. I love the history discussions, and also discussions on topics like wargaming. I tried to blog many years ago, and I know work does go into this, so thanks Don for giving us this place.
I comment every once in a while and I like this “reunion” idea. It would be nice to see some familiar names we haven’t seen for a while. Whatever happened to MPS anyway.

How about Bob in PI ? Early in the onset of COVID-19 he explained the biochemistry of the therapeutics to heal the corona virus. This was before hydroxychloriquin was politicized.
I like the variety of subjects posted on TAC. A favorite was the Library of Congress recording of Confederate veterans shouting the rebel yell in unison. I check in every day even if I’m somewhere needing to hot spot.
Love the comments in this thread! I will be on vacation with my family for the next few days, and I won’t be commenting but that does not mean I do not appreciate your kind words about the blog!
This has been one of my go-to blogs for… hard to believe…. almost 15 years now. Haven’t done a post in a while but would like to again. Like others I also enjoy the mix of serious and fun topics and I always look forward to Don and other’s take on the latest news. Thanks for keeping this place going!
Twenty years ago there was a long list of engaging blogs on all things Catholic. A laicized priest who used the handle ‘Gerard Serafin’ compiled a handy guide you could use to locate. It was a regrettably brief efflorescence. Nearly all have closed up shop in the intervening years and the new entrants I discovered closed up shop after a while. (I was, for some puzzling reason, banned by Crisis, which later shut down its comments; I was also banned by Rod Dreher, no surprise there). Some are now press agents for the episcopal establishment (Dawn Eden, Peter Vere); Mark Shea, always erratic, went insane.
Dale Price still has his pages up, but posts only infrequently. TAC has proven the most durable forum. There are, regrettably, contributors and commenters who have faded away over the years.
I really like this blog – don’t comment often but look forward to it daily.
Art — I was also banned from Crisis, for disagreeing with something its editor said. Then they went from only allowing approved opinions to not allowing any opinions at all. I found this to be a common trajectory for Catholic sites. But this one is different, and I’m grateful for it.
There used to be a great variety of Catholic blogs that showed the richness of our faith and gifts.
Before the last election I posted on my parishes page Biden’s long history of abortion voting record and was censored.
I think a lot in the hierarchy are all too happy w the censorship of people by federal govt bc they do it too.
I’m still sad about Eden.
I hardly ever comment but have enjoyed both blog and comments, for about two years now.
