Go here to read the story. The Bishop really should be told that there are laws against intimidation to prevail in litigation. There should be a canon law against making idiots bishops.
Of course, our Pope is on this:
Our Pope, ever ready to comfort the comfortable and to afflict the afflicted.
Update:
Well, things certainly move fast when the same man is prosecutor, judge and jury:
This could rival the Salem Witch Trials as a paragon of justice.

Power for power’s sake. These charlatans are monsters.
Olson is a hot-tempered bully who should be exiled to a remote monastery in sackcloth and ashes for the rest of his life on this Earth. He also needs medical help as well as many prayers. The stories about his screaming fits are legion around the Fort Worth diocese and in Dallas as well.
What is the topic of the lawsuit?
Olson has effectively excommunicated the nuns.
“What is the topic of the lawsuit?”
The Bishop has phonied up a sex charge against the ailing Mother Superior of the order. I think she is about 80, confined to a wheel chair, and has a feeding tube and a urine tube. (Hubba-Hubba.) The Mother Superior is suing him for defamation among other things with her community. I suspect that this is all part of the Vatican’s ongoing war against traditional orders. The Carmelites have a lot of wealthy donors and some think the Bishop wants to siphon off their donations.
What a mess.
The Carmelites have a lot of wealthy donors and some think the Bishop wants to siphon off their donations.
If the donors are not brain dead, the diocese gets not one brass farthing.
I think the Bishop hoped he would stage a coup and be able to control the Carmelites through a puppet mother superior. Bad planning, but few bishops have struck me as deep thinkers.
Art-
part of how he’s doing it is by trying to steal the property the order has; he’s already confiscated quite a bit of stuff he has no authority over.

Which court system is this in? Because this sort of power play violates the First Commandment of Lawyering, but good: “Never tick off the judge.”
And this sack of corrupt clowns showed their cards the first time their leader railed against “the Dictatorship of Money.”
All such slogans ever mean is “Where’s mine?”
But, alas, such is contemporary Romanism: corrupt moralizers from stem to stern.
Yes, yes–there are good men and women here and there, fighting the good fight. But they are far outweighed by the corrupt and the cowardly. May the former be able to save something from the latter.
To be a Christian is to imitate Christ as best you can. A work of the Holy Spirit.
We will be falsely accused, scourged and crucified by certain degrees.
There never seems to be a shortage of Caiaphas’ in our Holy Catholic Church.
Blind, selfish and filled with hatred, they too play a role in this drama called life on earth. Prayers for our Sisters as they suffer at the hands of injustice.
