I’m recalling Andrew Sullivan accusing Fr. Neuhaus with having an ‘obsession’ with homosexuality. About 3% of all the articles and commentaries over the previous 12 months had touched on the subject. Fr. Neuhaus himself produced a set of about 30 short commentaries each issue. The number touching on the subject averaged 1 per issue. ‘Obsession’ means something ordinary people would understand as ‘any critical mention at all’.
While we’re at it, which tech barons are now financing National Review?

While we’re at it, recall that the masthead at National Review includes Jason Lee Steorts (managing editor) and Garrett Bewkes (publisher).
“…damage to the Faith”? Sodom and Gomorrah sank into hell. Ought we not tell the sodomites that sodomy is quicksand to hell?
That’s an old trick, very common with the gay rights movement. Proclaim gay, celebrate gay, shove gay into our faces, declare gay, focus on gay, 24/7 gay, and if you say you disagree, they accuse you of being obsessed. I had that thrown at me more than once back in the day. I find projection to be a major leftwing characteristic.
