Supporters are flocking to contribute to Penny’s defense fund. When I contributed yesterday it was over 1.8 million dollars. Saint Thomas Aquinas famously described God as being pure act. Most Marines who I have known tend to be big on action. They often act when most of us merely wish that someone would act. Penny acted in defense of others who could not act to protect themselves. Now we need to act to help defend him. Go here if you wish to contribute.

I’m in.
Alvin Bragg is fast becoming a living parody of a D.A. I hear Putin is re-Stalinizing and has some openings for show trial prosecutors

$2.2 million and rising, not doubt. He will probably need all of it.

One podcaster, Tim Poole, has suggested that folks need to be very careful in giving out their donations to causes like this. Why? Well, we have no idea if this particular man voted for the very policies (by voting for Democrats and other “woke” politicians”) that are now after his backside.
Well, we have no idea if this particular man voted for the very policies (by voting for Democrats and other “woke” politicians”) that are now after his backside.
What possible difference would that make to save a man from a manifest injustice? In any case at age 24 he hasn’t done much voting. Poole has made the largest donation thus far, 20K.
I donate to causes like this not bc of way they voted, but bc of justice. NY and other blue states are not caring for their mentally ill and some are becoming violent. Maybe it’s due to drug use to help w their mental illness/maybe mental illness due to drug abuse. No matter. Someone should have committed him (family?) long ago so he couldn’t harm anyone.
It was a matter of time. It’s sad. It’s neglect in my book and reflects badly on NY and other blue states. That’s not how you take care of mentally ill. But, I don’t blame the Marine for jumping in and doing what he knew to do, subdue him.
That’s why I donate. I could see myself doing something similar bc I have strong protective instincts. 🤷🏻♀️
Tim Pool, not Tim Poole, my mistake. It is possible that Tim Pool, of Timcast IRL did go ahead and make a large donation. I do not know. I have not seen him say that he did on any of the YT clips I have seen.
.
His reasoning on the podcast clip I saw was/is “we” are basically “at war” with a certain sector of society. That many folks have put themselves in danger (by living or going to these violent areas) of their own volition. Very many have voted for the policies that have endangered them. A few (Jen Angel being an example–at last according to friends/family) even continue to defend these destructive polices even when they end up being victims of crime.
.
Tim suggested that the money raised to legally defend these Good Samaritans should perhaps go to helping struggling families in “red” or “purple” areas homeschool or what not. To further the culture war in that way.
.
Tim went on to say that this fellow acted appropriately, the video clearly shows that this Marine put the homeless man in a “recovery position” and should never have been charged.
