I thought I knew everything about the Spanish Civil War. And then something like this shows that Goya (painting the century before of course) didn’t even scratch the surface.

Guy McClung is 100% correct. Civil War may not have to come. God may allow our punishment at the hands of the communist Chinese, the Russians (remember the Belgorod with its Poseidon-6), or even Islamic terrorists who have gotten their hands on a few loose nukes. God will remove His protecting hand from the nation which rejects Him as we have done.

Chastisements come in various forms. I won’t be shocked when small nuclear bombs start devastating the cityscapes of modern day Sodoms and Gomorrahs here in our beloved country.
However, I was reminded by a far, far, far better soul than myself, “We must never stop praying for the most hardened souls to experience the grace of conversion. It is always possible for any soul, no matter how bitten by the poison of evil to be overwhelmed by God’s grace.”
It is what CS Lewis describes so effectively in ”The Screwtape Letters” as the devils’ greatest fear, that no matter how much the devils have their claws into someone, they can always lose the person in an instant. Forever.
So. We must pray for the conversion of the most bitterly poisonously hard-hearted. JMJ
