Olga’s War

It was said that Vietnam was the first living room war, with Americans getting to see the carnage on the evening news as they were eating their supper.  True enough.   I was there and I think it had an impact, although my Dad, accurately enough, thought the media was showing only what they wanted to show. This is the first major war in the West with everyone walking around with phones to take videos and I think that is going to have an impact.  YouTube personality Olga Reznikova has been sending out videos about what she is experiencing since the Ukraine war began and I find them striking.

They are striking not because of their analysis, but because they show how much the people of Ukraine look and act like us.  Now mentally we already know this, but seeing it up close in videos is another matter.  A flood of these videos are getting out, and that fact I think is going to impact long term what ultimately happens  in Ukraine

“[The videos coming out of Ukraine] are striking not because of their analysis, but because they show how much the people of Ukraine look and act like us. I believe, and admit that I fervently hope, you are right about this. It also is not going to do much for Brandon’s sinking poll numbers.

Hits right in the heart.

I’m hoping that a miracle occurs.
A surprising end, a pull out, or else I’m afraid that these videos from Olga are going to be very grim..that is until she can’t afford to have communications. In six months Olga might be unrecognizable.

God please help the Ukrainian people.
Help us get them what they need when they’re shelves are bare.

The Ukrainian people & the Russian people ARE just like us.

Sadly, in the case of Putin, the Russian leader is as corrupt as our leader of these United States, albeit in different ways.

I feel sorry for the civilians and even the troops on both sides who are being and will be killed because of this. I wish Putin and Biden could face some harsh reality for a change. This would never have happened under Donald Trump. A foul mouthed womanizing gambler. So crazy that Putin would never dare cross him.

It would never have happened under Trump. That much is true.
