The Russian people are one of the great peoples of the Earth, but rarely have they had a voice in how they are misruled. Some of them, to their vast credit, are speaking out now. We shall see where this leads, if it leads anywhere. If it does lead somewhere, it would be a growing manifestation of fed up peoples around the globe standing up to their power hungry rulers, a movement I salute.
In any case I salute their courage, as it takes courage to speak out in Putin’s Russia.
I’d like to live in a world of countries content merely to be. I’d like to think that’s the modal sentiment in Russia.
That explains the rumors going around the Russian settlement in Ukraine– there’s an Iowa farmer there, he talks to ’em– they were told the guys dropping bombs on them were Americans.
Farmer did a quick class in aircraft identification….

Amen, Art and Anzlyne. And Foxfier, that those people are being told the US is attacking them probably should not surprise me, but it does. Praying your Iowa farmer friend has much success in bringing some truth into play there.
Guessing that they were talking to him because they know the guy fairly well, so there’s a good chance!
If folks are willing to burn time picking through, he was on the Simon Conway show last night and they mentioned a prior call-in he’d done– gives you an idea of what folks on the ground are hearing.
I agree 100% with Anzlyne.
Putin would have put an end to that peaceful protest Im certain.
His people need to turn on him yet don’t see that happening.
Poland and Belarus are lined up next, but to be honest I don’t see what Putin’s end game is here…
