What makes this all the more crazy is that the Archdiocese went mask optional for South Suburban schools the very next day after the firing. Presumably Cupich didn’t like his hand being forced. When it comes to Cupich he is detested even by many Leftists in the Church in Chicago. His career demonstrates that having a repulsive personality is no drawback for advancement in any large organization, as Cupich has always been known for the pettiness with which he exercises any authority granted him.
Tyrants always need henchmen. The current clown show is no different. Cupich would be long gone if he didn’t fulfill some necessary role for Pope Chastisement. At a minimum, that is keeping the milquetoast US bishops in line.
If you hear of any fundraising efforts for the principal, please post here. I will do likewise.
One of JPII’s many episcopal misfires. Never have anyone on staff who can burn your legacy to the ground.
In a sane church, Cupich would be the irritating layman who makes the office secretaries roll their eyes.
In ours, he’s a papal elector.
“Qupich” ? Why do I see Himmler ?
Unfortunately, I am in the Chicago archdiocese. A huge red flag for me was when he was first assigned here and my very Left wing friend from Washington told me how much trouble he caused and that everyone in Spokane was praying for us. Little did I know.
Clearly manifestations of insecurity. He would benefit from professional help or at least a rereading of Dale Carnegie.
In a sane church, Cupich would be the irritating layman who makes the office secretaries roll their eyes.

Petty tyrant? I can think of many more terms beyond that.
