We live in an era where they hang the heroes and celebrate the murderers.

Welcome to Liberal Progressive America. Liars are praised. Truthfulness is tantamount to treason.

Pink hats celebrate the killing of babies.

May God help us.

IIRC, he resigned his commission. By what authority is he sent to the brig?

Papers haven’t gone through for discharge, yet.

Also ordered a psych eval after he submitted his resignation.

It doesn’t enter their head that doing this only proves LTC Scheller’s point and garners support against them.

While I certainly agree with what the Lt. Col. is saying, is it appropriate for an active duty 0-5 to say it publicly? Even Scheller himself admitted he would have dealt with a subordinate the same he was dealt with had the tables been turned. You can bet your ass that statement will be used against him at courts martial.

Don, I remember you saying when Gen. Macchrystal publicly criticized the Obama Administration, he was out of line and should have relieved. If it’s inappropriate for a four star general, how it would it not be even more appropriate for an 0-5, who is not even commanding combat troops but commanding a school, to go public in this way?

Or, have things gotten so bad that it would be necessary for someone in his position to do what he did?

At this point, I think LTCOL Scheller acted foolishly and will get eaten alive by the military establishment and will not help his stated cause. In fact, it may very well hurt it. I can’t help but wonder if Scheller used this Afghanistan debacle as an opportunity for publicity.

I don’t think Scheller offered to resign his commission until AFTER he went public the first time. He was relieved of his command subsequent to his first public statement. That’s a key distinction.

As to the opportunity to put the Afghanistan debacle on trial, I don’t see that happening because it won’t get the necessary publicity…unless big named retired generals come out in droves in his defense.

And I’m sure MacChrystal knew his interview with Rolling Stone was a career ender. But in addition to being a career ender, Scheller had to know it could very well be more than that by making that video while in uniform.

You may see many retired officers coming out for Scheller. But I wouldn’t count on it. I think you would have already seen something of a ground swell. You also have to understand that even many of the “good ones” are yes men when push comes to shove and have lucrative post retirement gigs they aren’t willing to sacrifice. But we’ll see.

Now, if Scheller was the commander of the troops who were killed at the Kabul airport, the “put the Afghanistan debacle on trial” strategy might get some traction. But with an infantry school commander in the states, that strategy is a tough slog at best.

Unless Scheller wants to receive maximum punishment for what he’s being charged with and/or wants to be a martyr for the cause, it seems he has every incentive to play ball with the prosecution on this.

Come to think of it, didn’t MacChrystal think those remarks were off the record? Otherwise, he’d have to be an idiot to think he wouldn’t get canned. I mean I’m sure he’s an astute enough student of history to know how the other General Mac fared for doing the same.

But Scheller posted a video, IN UNIFORM, doing it. Then, posted another video in uniform, this time disobeying a direct order to stay off of social media.

Have any of those 150 Flag officers come out in Scheller’s behalf?

Look, I sure I’m wrong about this, but I don’t see this ending well for Scheller nor do I see it helping the cause.

Kurt Schlicter”s remark on this controversy was that it would have been an easy call when he was in service 30 years ago, but the Regime has now changed the rules.

A friend of mine is retired Lieutenant Colonel from the Marine Corp. He said since Schiller’s discharge is not official he is still an active duty Marine and as such he waives a number of personal freedoms as a condition of his service obligations. He violated a gag order, hence the confinement.

The Pipe Hitter Foundation, an organization founded by retired Navy SEAL Chief Eddie Gallagher, who would have been wrongly convicted on bogus war crime charges had it not been for President Trump and Bernard Kerik, along with wife Andrea is assisting with legal fees and other needs for Scheller. If we can spare a few bucks, we should throw them in that direction.

The Generals not only threw Biden under the bus but threw him under the bus again after the bus ran him over in their congressional testimony. This could work in Scheller’s favor.

LtCol is in solitary confinement at Capmp Lejeune NC. Treated like a violent criminal. This officer with 5 combat tours was on the fast track. His lawyer is a former marine officer. Yes donating to the piperfoundation.org would be appreciated.
The generals testimonies under oath today before the Senate was nauseating. Gen Milley said that for him to resign would be seen as a political move and he won’t do it. (Laughable) Seeing as how some of Milley’s actions against his Commander-in-chief Trump in accord with Speaker Pelosi appear to be treasonous.

“Life is not fair.” JFK

Asking for a friend.

If Lt Col Scheller will be court-martialed for his video truth telling, will Gen. Milley be court-martialed for his calls to the Chicom military thereby feloniously breaching the Constitutional and legal chain of command? It’s on tape. FOIA or Subpoena it.
