Meanwhile, the Norwegian government declared the end of the hysterics.

Australia is reverting to the penal colony roots.

Face masks are of very uncertain value in indoor air and of no use in outdoor air. This is just public health theatre. It’s time for the frontline officers in the Victoria state police to head for the doughnut shop.

If Victoria remains a sane society, this image of formations of state police charging protesting construction workers should destroy the Victoria Labour Party for a generation.

All of you are more intelligent and better educated than I am.

If you can get there before Big Brother censors it, go to Zero Hedge blog and read a [long] ‘letter’ by a truth teller named, “Spartacus.”

“Overreach” is a weasel word used to refer to frank malfeasance by public officials. It should be retired in favor of a more precise descriptor like ‘crime’ or ‘abuse’.

“ Australia is reverting to the penal colony roots.”

There very well maybe a cultural memory there. Certainly looks that way.

Disagree. The mask mandates are the sort of measure that would be dreamed up by the lesser sort of elementary schoolteacher.

‘Progressive’ politics in our time is a series of exercises in socially-sanctioned aggression. There’s nothing else left. The administrators are women and men blessed with feminine vices.

I fear governments all over the world are getting used to employing these over-the-top methods to punish anyone who dares to disagree with our overlords. They’ve realized they can get away with anything, because we are just sheep.

While, having been around actual sheep for enough time to understand that they are one of the few domestic animals actually dumber than chickens, I really must object to their being used as the go-to metaphor for abject submission. We ourselves were referred to as “sheep” by no less a person than the Lord Himself. I believe that he knew whereof he spoke.

Victoria was hit with a 5.9 magnitude earthquake last Tuesday 115km East of Melbourne. It was felt up to Sydney and down to Tasmania. The largest high magnitude recorded in last 200 years. It probably scared the protesters in Melbourne. We were told by a tech guy who lives in Melbourne who we work with it pushed him across the meeting room. However, not sure if Daniel Andrews got the message from the Boss above.

Read about Norway and Denmark closing the chapter on Covid. I think Sweden will follow their course. It’s because they reached 70-80% vaccination levels there. Don’t think there was much resistance to the vaccine by its citizens in those countries (I could be wrong).

Southcoast- love your comment. You’re right sheep was used by Our Lord to refer to us. What’s the alternative? I thought chicken referred to someone scared of their own shadow. What’s more stupid than a sheep and a chicken, I wonder?

Did you catch that Gov. Kathy Hochul has said she’ll deploy National Guard paramedics to replace the health care workers she’s insisting be fired for not taking the vaccine?

Our Lord’s reference to his followers as “sheep” was not intended as an insult to their intelligence. It referred to their need for leadership. Metaphors should not be taken beyond what they are intended to convey.
