What I’d like to see happen is that the federal penal code be properly scarified and it’s schedule of sentences recalibrated. Ideally also, the procedures and practices which constrain the issuance of an indictment ought to be more finely grained than the federal grand jury. Ideally also, if you’re an attorney, you’d be debarred by law from working for the Department of Justice for more than 12 years in any bloc of 14.
As for our federal police services, break them up into specialized bureaux, limit their consulting services to those requested by state police, prosecute agents provacateurs, and sh!tcan every FBI agent.
