Black Lives Matter?

Eight decades after Sanger’s “Negro Project,” abortion in the United States is also marked by a considerable racial disparity. The reported nationwide abortion ratio—the number of abortions per 1,000 live births—among black women is nearly 3.5 times the ratio for white women.Dept. of Health and Human Services, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, T. Jatlaoui et al., Abortion Surveillance—United States, 2015, 67 Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, Surveillance Summaries, No. SS–13,p. 35 (Nov. 23, 2018) (Table 13); see also Brief for Restoration Project et al. as Amici Curiae 5–6. And there are areas of New York City in which black children are more likely to be aborted than they are to be born alive—and are up to eight times more likely to be aborted than white children in the same area. See N. Y. Dept. of Health, Table 23: Induced Abortion and Abortion Ratios by Race/Ethnicity and Resident County New York State– 2016, https://www.health.ny.gov/statistics/vital_statistics/2016/table23.htm. Whatever the reasons for these disparities, they suggest that, insofar as abortion is viewed as a method of “family planning,” black people do indeed“tak[e] the brunt of the ‘planning.’” Dempsey, supra, at 82.

Justice Clarence Thomas, concurring decision, Box v.  Planned Parenthood of Indiana

News that I missed, courtesy of The Babylon Bee:

NEW YORK, NY—Planned Parenthood’s newest CEO Alexis McGill Johnson has recently made the decision to distance the organization from their racist, eugenicist founder Margaret Sanger.

“At Planned Parenthood, we have made the bold decision to part ways from our evil, racist founder. We denounce her racism once and for all and to show our commitment to that we will be doubling our presence in minority communities,” announced Planned Parenthood CEO Alexis McGill Johnson. “Starting today, in the name of equality we will be offering free abortions for anyone who isn’t white.”

“And to those who say we are ‘following in her exact footsteps’ & ‘continuing her legacy’, all I have to say is this: Nope. And anyone who says otherwise is a far-right conspiracy theorist. You can trust us.” Johnson said with a wink.

“If only she could see us now,” Johnson said holding back tears. “I mean, then she would see how different we are and in no way still trying to control the population and limit those we view as unfit or undesirable.”

Go here to read the rest.  The numbers speak for themselves:

The CDC reports that, for its most recently reported year (2016):

  • Non-Hispanic Black women accounted for 38% of all reported abortions.
  • Non-Hispanic white women accounted for 35% of all reported abortions.
  • Hispanic women accounted for 18.8% of all reported abortions.
  • Other races accounted for 8.2% of all reported abortions.

Despite the Black community making up just 12 percent of the U.S. population, Black women also had the highest number of reported abortions out of the 32 reporting areas, according to the CDC (see both charts below).

CDC abortions

The CDC data also reveals that the Black abortion rate (abortions per 1,000 women aged 15–44 years) exceeded all other races:

  • Black abortion rate: 25.1
  • Hispanic abortion rate: 11.7
  • White abortion rate: 6.6

This means that the Black abortion rate was 3.8 times higher than the white abortion rate (25.1 v. 6.6) and 2.15 times higher than the Hispanic abortion rate (25.1 v. 11.7).

Go here to read the rest.  Getting blacks to kill their babies and pay for the “privilege”?  Planned Parenthood is the dream of every member of the Klan who ever donned a white sheet.  As the late Justice Ginsburg noted about Roe v. Wade:  Frankly I had thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of.

Ginsburg was ardently feminist and ardently pro-abortion, but she had lived through the time period and she understood that arguments from eugenics were ever lurking in the background as to arguments about abortion.

Missing statistic is how many abortions from fatherless homes vs. “intact families?”
Yes, PP offers an evil “service” (as does any assassin), but it is people who freely choose to walk in who cause that evil–much like consuming druggies cause the producing cartels.
The Marxist left has made faux racism to be worse than their real infanticide. Satan is their head coach.

Abortion as contraception is my guess.
With just over $500 million annual tax dollars to support the killing machine, poor women in poor communities can thank you and me for the monetary assistance.
“I can’t breathe” should be the ad campaign for pro-life organizations in poor neighborhoods.
An image of a fetus with the end of the forceps closing in on the neck might draw attention to the true inhumanity of abortion on demand.

Love your comment and thinking Phillip, such an ad campaign hits them twice with their phony excuses for doing morally corrupt things. Plus, it would cut off any future use of the “knee on neck” mantra.

As much as I like Philip’s idea, I think it might backfire. This is a very interesting conversation with three black pro-life leaders.

@ Don L- unfortunately PP and the like feed on vulnerable women in a state of crisis. During the years I volunteered for a crisis pregnancy phone support line (run by Right to Life), I can testify that all of post-abortion women (from various socio-economic backgrounds) who would call up looking for counselling services, because they were not coping (sometimes years after the event) would all say “nobody told me” or “I wish I knew at the time..”. They weren’t told the truth about abortion. That is, that the abortion brings physical implications and mental, emotional and spiritual suffering. Instead, abortion is packaged as a “safe”, “routine” and “harmless” solution to an unwanted pregnancy. PP, Marie Stopes etc… lie to women. This is the evil of PP. PP absolutely are still practising Eugenics. And true to form, they are still lying about it. Numbers don’t lie.

Demographics rule. Urban blacks in the US are contracepting / aborting themselves into a permanently poor and powerless situation. Bet on it.
