The Pentagon is also weighing whether any additional mechanisms are needed, such as ways for service members to confidentially report potential extremist behavior within their units. Similar efforts for officially reporting sexual harassment have struggled over the years to gain the confidence of the troops, fearing retaliation, although after a concerted push by the Defense Department those reporting numbers have started to rise.

Go here to read the rest. When our military gets its collective head handed to it in the coming war with China remember this. Political games in the military are far more important to the current regime and its politicians in uniform at the Pentagon than winning wars against foreign adversaries.

This works better than defunding the military; maybe as a countermeasure we should try a graduated tax: 80% on top echelons, grading down to 4% on NCO’s and 0 on the dogfaces.
In the early 1980s I was assigned to a surface ship where we had one of the best leaders I have known.
The deck department had a Master Chief who was black and wanted any racist assigned to him, regardless of the sailor’s race.
He said it was more important to change the way someone thought than the way they acted and that a priority of the military was for a service member to be a better citizen when they left the military than when he enlisted.
If anything the military has reduced racism and extremist ideology rather then serving as a refuge for misfits embracing a polluted ideology.
What concerns me is why the current administration is demonizing and planning purges of conservatives from the military. Fortunately it seems that service members are seeing these attempts as propaganda

CUNY has had decades to build a law faculty, and what they built was a school that attracts okupiers who want to be public defenders. CUNY could reduce some it it’s excess capacity quite readily by closing the law school (then closing the J-school, then closing Medgar Evers College, &c).
