Jesus is admired by millions but followed by few. Thus few will be saved and obtain eternal life with God.
No defender of Napoleon here, but I often wonder if his sheer intellectual analytical brilliance, as seen in this flash of insight regarding Jesus Christ and history, if Napoleon’s genius of organization and imposing order had been turned to a good purpose instead of imperial conquest and mass death and destruction, what a different trajectory of history might have been forged for Europe and the world.
Napoleon did a fair amount of good as is. He restored the Faith in France, albeit with an extremely rocky relationship with the Pope. He ended the terrors of the Revolution and gave France the best government it probably ever has. My view of Napoleon:
