From some of my private correspondence today:
You put your finger on the most disturbing feature of politics today. Leftists have long viewed politics as a substitute religion. Politics tended to be nasty enough when it dealt with traditionally political questions like taxes and tariffs. Now it involves questions like will your first grader be subject to homosexual propaganda, will nuns be forced to pay for contraception, will your daughter have to compete in sports with males calling themselves females and will you have what you say off the job used to terminate your employment. The foregoing list could run into hundreds of similar examples. Because of Leftist initiatives, the role of government is grossly expanded, we have less freedom and elections matter so much more than they used to. Leftism is a plague on mankind in that there is no dimension of the human condition that it does not seek to control.
In the Sixties Leftists used to say the personal is political. They certainly have made it so, and we will all pay a dire price before the current Leftist fever is broken in the West.

The left compromise their principles for gain at all costs. It doesn’t look like it’s ending soon.
Margaret Court won 24 grand-slams and 21 mixed doubles. An all-time record for both sexes. She also won 19 doubles. Not Serena, Federer or any past or living tennis player has ever come close to Courts Tennis achievements.
Yesterday in the Australia Day honours she was given the Companion in the General Division of the AO – the highest award level for services to her Sport. She is a fine respectable woman- mother, wife and grandmother.
She is also a Pentecostal Minister and has outspoken viewers and has publicly opposed same-sex marriage, condemned transgender athletes and said LGBTIQ+ school lessons are “of the devil”. I guess you could say she is just fuilfilling her job requirements as a Christian Minister.
But, there has been an ongoing campaign to rename Margaret Court Tennis arena’s and strip her of every recognition she has earned in the name of her sport. Yesterday, two Order of Australia recipients (a leftist journalist and Doctor) have both rejected their awards in protest. The Victorian Premiere and countless media personalities have protested. Somehow they think that Court, who has an unparalleled record in her sport doesn’t deserve to be recognised for this fact because they don’t like her personal views.

Excellent! I hope Advocate, I mean the Journalist, quits his job and denounces all Journalists and I hope the doctor quits medicine and burns his medical degrees. That’ll show’em!!
JFK, if only! Unfortunately also, the Advocate worked for the government TV station ABC his whole “career”. And the Doctor bulk bills (which in Australia means the consultations are covered by Medicare)- WE give them their livelihoods.
Government employees and the like tend to have no issue throwing anything back in the governments face.
