The virtue signaling has begun…
“Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao on Thursday told colleagues she will resign over the mob of President Trump’s supporters that stormed the US Capitol a day earlier, according to reports. Chao, wife of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), would be the first Cabinet secretary to resign over the incident,..”

The rats are abandoning the ship. Apparently she is resigning next Monday, 10 days before Biden takes over. What a stand she’s making! Frankly, as McConnells’ wife, I am surprised she hasn’t stabbed Trump in the back sooner.

BTW, did you notice all of the Democrats who resigned from leadership positions when the mob took over the Senate office building last summer? Yes, none, I counted them twice.

“Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao on Thursday told colleagues she will resign over the mob of President Trump’s supporters that stormed the US Capitol a day earlier, according to reports.

Were it the Washington Post, I would begin with the assumption that it was concocted (or, as they have admitted in one case, the issue of a gopher unknown to every senior policy-maker other than the one for which he worked). Since it’s the New York Post, it might have a knowledgeable source appended to it. What would she be she ‘protesting’? That some of the President’s supporters are angry? The Antifa infiltrators? The continued employment of the Capitol police officer who appears to have executed one of the protesters?

Note, the academic who sat on the Council of Economic Advisers has actually issued his letter of resignation in ‘protest’. What that suggests (and what a letter from Chao would suggest) is that one problem Trump’s had is that our professional-managerial stratum is chock-a-bloc with hollow men. Maybe she and Cocaine Mitch are well matched.

Of course it won’t matter. Doesn’t matter how noble one side acts or how vile the other, the propaganda outlets will continue to do their duty to gaslight everyone and ensure it’s all forgotten. Democrats never did anything wrong, Republicans never did anything right, and on it goes.

Point made a few different places around the web (I think I saw it at Ace’s):

We all understand why the left refuses to condemn BLM, Antifa, et al. while they leap at the opportunity to condemn the slightest “conservative” disturbance: because they know who is on “their side.”

But the vast majority of Republicans also refuse to condemn BLM, Antifa, etc. while chomping at the bit to condemn things like what happened yesterday.

What is the natural conclusion to be drawn here?

My guess is she’s protesting Trump for having the temerity to actually win four years ago, forcing them to accept him into their nice, swampy country club of a political party.

This is about discrediting Trump for 2024, making sure that, now that he’s just about gone, he stays gone.

What is the natural conclusion to be drawn here?

That there’s no way forward within the confines of the Republican Party.

By far the left’s biggest advantage is their control of the narrative through the media. Large numbers of people still believe everything said on the local news, and even those that are distrustful of it will still swallow a specific lie through Gell-Mann amnesia.

I don’t know that there’s a way forward before reporters end up behind bars.

There’s a great scene in Lawrence of Arabia where Claude Rains puts Peter O’Toole in his place by explaining the difference between lies and half lies.

Truth is an objective fact. And the farther people stray from it, the harder reality hits back when falsehoods can no longer be maintained. Sooner or later, and probably later than sooner, sad now to say, the Left will run out of lies to explain away their previous lies, which explain away the lies before that. And then their collapse is going to be complete. Just not before they take down every institution they own to utter ruin.

Like I’ve said here before, people need to start seriously contemplating martyrdom.

And by that, I don’t mean getting shot in the neck while screaming at some nervous Capitol Hill gunsel who won’t tolerate disrespect to his authoriteh.

You want to strike a blow for truth? Start with this: There are two sexes, male and female.

And the one Bruce Jenner tries to pass for isn’t his true sex.
