This is 2020 so nothing surprises me anymore. POTUS and FLOTUS have Covid and are in quarantine for the next 14 days. Right now they are not exhibiting any symptoms. Normally I would say this would hurt his campaign, but with Trump I am sure that videos of him to rallies might be as effective as in presence campaigns, many of his supporters being that fervent. Critics of course will rejoice at this and view it as poetic justice, claiming, falsely, that Trump has sought to underplay the severity of Covid. Trump has actually been all over the lot on the subject, as the medical bureaucracy giving advice to Trump. I wonder if Biden will now go into quarantine since he was likely exposed to Covid during the debate, not that going into quarantine would be much different from how he has not been campaigning. Prayers for the President and the First Lady, and prayers that God will soon take the Destiny Pen from the Angel with a bizarre sense of humor who has obviously been wielding it this year.

Yes, let us pray for Mr. and Mrs Trump that no harm will come to them. My guess is that neither of them will get sick thus demonstrating that testing positive means very little.
God surely has the Destiny Pen in hand and we should rejoice that everything that happens is exactly the way He allows it to happens. If something bad happens we believe it is ultimately for the best in His divine providence.

What has bugged me about coverage of the black coof is everyone treating a positive result of it like some kind of death sentence. (I don’t really blame them, the news encourages this.) Never mind that even the bleakest estimate puts the survival rate of the disease at 80%.
The most famous man in the world getting it and surviving may finally help break the narrative and get people to take a more realistic assessment of the disease and let us start having better conversations about it. (I hope.)
There is no doubt that President Trump is using a Zinc/Hydrochloroquine treatment. He’s praised the treatment several times.
As someone in his 70’s he’s in one of the few groups that actually has risk from the disease but according to the CDC that’s still at worst 95% IFR across the board in that age group, and that doesn’t take into account the fact that he is getting better treatment than the average person. Prayers are certainly still appropriate, but his chances for survival are very, very good.
Predicting 2 things trending on liberal twitter: Gloating and wishes Trump dies of Covid-19, and snickering that Trump is only pretending to have Covid-19 because he’s afraid to debate Joe Biden. From the same people despite the contradiction.
The Republicans could not stop him; the media could not stop him and finally the Democrats could not. I predict Covid will not either.

My prediction is the covid-19 virus will end up signing a contract with Trump to purchase a golf course for fifty million and to surrender to Trump on pay per view.
Ernst, I know you’re correct in your first prediction because it’s already happening. Haven’t seen the second one yet, but then, I’m not looking at any more social media until after the 14 days are up.
So-called MSM are also acting predictably. The good folks over at Catholic Vote made the mistake (in my opinion) of linking their story to USA Today, which dutifully checked off every DNC talking point in its “report.” Cringeworthy indeed.
The President is in overall good health. If, as expected, he comes through without serious illness, I agree it will be a strong point in favor of the more rational view of this pandemic, which really doesn’t even exist anymore under the numerical standards of the CDC, if I understand correctly. But of course you can’t tell that to the political tyrants like Cuomo, Pritzker, Whitmer, etc., or to the Covid snowflakes the media have created by the tens of millions.
