Will pray tonight. Think of doing a plenary indulgence for him…a half hour of devout scripture reading, Confession, Communion, detachment from all even venial sin, and prayers for the Pope’s intentions…and that covers all punishment due in Purgatory…consult your pastor about it as to private nuances. Twenty days now to complete all. Our Father and Hail Mary for Pope’s intentions suffice. I’ve done seven now for the deceased of my clan. Then do one for yourself which is certain…those for the dead are subject to God’s wisdom because the Church only has power to loose in living cases for sure.

When I was “doing time” at St Louis University, some friends suggested we escape to the countryside and they took me to the Oblate’s Shrine (pictured above) of Our Lady of the Snows. To this day I am moved by seeing the devotion of many there.

For those who have addictions, especially in my own family, and a friend’s husband who mixes prescription oxy with alcohol.
Eric, the devotion to Our Lady Undoer (Untier) of Knots began with a reconciliation of a husband and wife.
