Ghouls for Profit

Christopher Johnson, a non-Catholic who has taken up the cudgels so frequently for the Church that I have named him Defender of the Faith, in a post entitled appropriately EINSATZGRUPPEN, looks at the revelation that Planned Parenthood is making money off the corpses of some of the babies they murder:

Initially, I wasn’t particularly shocked by this story:

An undercover video shot last summer by a new pro-life organization called Center for Medical Progress purports to show the chief medical officer of Planned Parenthood of America talking on camera about how to abort a child intact so the child’s body parts can be transferred for medical and scientific research.

The video was shot by a team led by David Daleiden of the Center for Medical Progress posing as representatives of a start up biotech firm in the business of buying fetal body parts for medical and scientific research. Daleiden told Breitbart News, “It as remarkably easy to make contact with Planned Parenthood” to discuss procurement of fetal tissue.

I mean, it’s Murder, Inc., it’s what they do.  But the truly scary thing about this story is that the more you think about it and the deeper you dig, the more horrifying this all eventually becomes.  Satan, and I’m not being at all figurative here, is in the details.  Like these.

The video purports to show, between bites of lunch and sips of wine, Dr. Deborah Nucatola saying, “A lot of people want intact hearts these days, because they are looking for specific nodes.”

She adds: “Yesterday was the first time she said people wanted lungs. And then, like I said, always as many intact livers as possible. People just want…some people want lower extremities, too. I mean that’s easy. I don’t know what they’re doing with it, I guess they want muscle.”

Or these.

[Nucatola] talks about pricing. “You know, I would throw a number out, and I would say it’s probably anywhere from $30 to $100 [per specimen] depending on the facility and what’s involved.”

In the video, Nucatola goes into great detail about ordering specific body parts and how the abortionist goes about ensuring those parts are not damaged in the abortion. She says the abortionist uses “ultrasound guidance, so they’ll know where they’re putting their forceps.”

And then she talks about the baby’s head. “The kind of rate-limiting step is procedure is calvarium.

Know what a calvarium is?  There should be one on top of your neck.

Calvarium — the head — is basically the biggest part. Most of the other stuff can come out intact.”

Nucatola says the doctor has to be “just kind of cognizant of where you put your graspers, you try to intentionally go above and below the thorax, so that, you know, we’ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I’m not gonna crush that part, I’m going to basically crush below, and I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact.”

Nucatola explains how the position of the baby can be changed so that she can be extracted up to the head and then collapse the head so that all the other body parts can be extracted without damage.

Think about that for a second.  The “chief medical officer” of Murder, Inc. doesn’t want it’s accredited teppanyaki chefs to go in there and just start indiscriminately slicing and dicing.  MI has a bottom line to think about.

They’re harvesting them.  The bastards are harvesting them.

But they’re “harvesting them” for medical research.  They’re trying to save lives.

So?

Oh, come on now, Johnson.  You’ve just been diagnosed with some kind of terminal illness; the doctors tell you that you have 3 to 5 years left.  Optimistically.

But there’s this treatment deriving from the research on or the direct use of fetal tissue that could extend your life be decades or even cure you.  Are you seriously claiming that you would refuse such treatment if you knew where it came from?

Yeah, pretty much.  Prolonging my existence is not a high, personal priority right now.  And if it necessitates killing other human beings, it’s far too high a price to pay anyway.

Will this story have legs?  The Washington Post has picked it up so we’ll see.

Go here to read the comments.  Bravo Christopher.  Just one correction.  When referring to Planned Parenthood the appellation Murder Inc. is not appropriate.  For the reasons I set forth here, the proper designation is Worse Than Murder, Inc.  Honest murderers of the crime syndicate would have been repulsed by the deeds of the ghouls for profit who run Planned Parenthood.  Their moral peers were in the dock at Nuremberg in more morally sane times.

“When the time comes, as it surely will, when we face that awesome moment, the final judgment, I’ve often thought, as Fulton Sheen wrote, that it is a terrible moment of loneliness. You have no advocates, you are there alone standing before God — and a terror will rip your soul like nothing you can imagine. But I really think that those in the pro-life movement will not be alone. I think there’ll be a chorus of voices that have never been heard in this world but are heard beautifully and clearly in the next world — and they will plead for everyone who has been in this movement. They will say to God, ‘Spare him, because he loved us!'”

Congressman Henry Hyde

Another advocate… Jesus himself. When you gave testimony on my behalf while you were on earth. Now I will give testimony on your behalf before my Father. (Poorly remembered).

One more for pro-life warriors; “Here is my servant whom I have chosen, my loved one in whom I delight. I will endow him with my Spirit and he will proclaim justice.”. Matthew 12:18.

Let us serve Him in serving the poorest… the unborn. Talk about Social Justice issues.

As far as I know, even Mengele didn’t sell the body parts of precious humans, at least before he fled to (where else?) Argentina to become (what else?) an abortionist….

This national outrage happens because millions of catholic Liberals (peace and justice!) vote democrat. This includes so-called catholic pundits who never write about 50 millions of unborn baby murders, but spill oceans of ink and massed gigabytes on dishonest, uncharitable detractions against good people falsely based on Abu Graibh!, AGW!!, guns!!!, illegal invaders!!!!, water-boarding!!!!.
.
Repent. Vote pro-life (neither Dem or GOP). It may not be too late.

40+ years of this garbage, and it’s still legal.

I’m not surprised. At all. there was the ghoul in Philadelphia who was murdering babies born alive, and the Pittsburgh Tribune Review – the libertarian paper owned by the late Richard Mellon Scaife – a HUGE Planned Parenthood supporter – had to spin the story to show support for abortion.

Scaife ran a front page editorial saying “Don’t defund Planned Parenthood.” Scaife was a hypocrite. Scaife hated it when owners of pro sports teams asked for money to build ballparks, etc. but when it was Scaife’s pet issue – abortion – he wanted government money to fund it.

The elites have always been comfortable with abortion. It kills off the potential rif raf. This is why people as different as Ted Kennedy and Barry Goldwater supported abortion.

Notice the silence from the USCCB.

There is no substantive difference between a liberal progressive Democrat who supports Planned Parenthood and a radical Islamic Jihadist terrorist.

Well Paul, a wee bit perhaps. One dies for being out of their club, the others, just for daring to be.

Gentlemen, just to clarify, Scaife was no liberal. He was a libertarian and an abortionist and a homosexualist. I canceled my paper subscription after that front page editorial.

Many of us grew up with a big Sunday morning paper. I haven’t bought one in years.

.
I know I’ve mentioned before, my mom is a breast cancer survivor.
Back before I was married, I had an argument with someone who knew she was still being treated for it– the topic was the “miracle” if fetal stem cells.
That person, for motives that are not clearly manipulative, asked roughly the same thing about my mom.
Being me, I asked her.
Answer?
There’s no disease she could possibly have that would make it alright to chop up babies.

Penguins Fan– sounds like a “only consequences I choose” libertarian, AKA “Liberal-tarian.”
Babies resulting from sex would interfere with the “freedom”to choose whatever they wanted, so the babies must not be “really” there until some later point.
I’m easily annoyed by libertarian theories*, but the ones that deny responsibility to even consider unintended but direct results are probably the most outrageous.
.
*excessive idealism, especially if the theories ignore important variables

During the second or third time I watched the video of Dr. Nucatola describing the ghoulish business of Planned Parenthood, the lampshade making of the Nazis came to mind.

Foxfier.

Similarly my sister in law, who is battling MS, was devastated when George Bush Jr. placed a cease order on frozen embryo’s to be used for research on a possible cure for MS.

When I carefully tried to support the former Presidents position I was shot at with a barrage of “Christian insult’s,” which I was ready for. There family, and she is steadily loosing ambulatory function. I understand their frustration, and tried to call them to look at human tissue research, primarily post birth tissues, which at the time was showing great potential.

We try as best we can to have them reason as your beautiful mom reasoned. Not everyone can look at the sacredness of life in the same light.

I once chanced on an article by Sir Dugald Baird, written when he was the Regius Professor of Midwifery at the University of Glasgow. He went on to become the President of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists

“In India, though Nehru (Times, 11th December 1963) and his Government recognized the dangers of population increase and supported a policy of birth control, in practice in the second five-year plan for India only $10 million was allocated for population control as against $14 million for malaria control, a measure which, by lowering death rates quickly, could further aggravate the population crisis and reduce the standard of living, in that more capital, skills, and experience are absorbed in looking after children and young people and less is available for industrial development.”

Why, I wondered, did a person holding such views not only choose medicine as a profession, but midwifery as his specialty.

Needless to say, he was a strong supporter of the 1967 Abortion Act.

Sorry I have to disagree, PWP.
.
“There is no substantive difference between a liberal progressive Democrat who supports Planned Parenthood and a radical Islamic Jihadist terrorist.”
.

There are two massive differences: 1. a liberal helps kill 1,500,000 unborn Americans each year; a hadji get fewer than 20. 2. A liberals is a real threat to our country and our way of life. Hadji not so much.
.
Make the World a better place [fill-in-the-blank] a liberal in the face.

Goodness, that was covered on day one, two and three of catechism class in the 1940s. We may do (or assist or enable) no evil–no matter how good the result.

Frankly, entering my ninth decade of life, in fairly good health and looking at the way this world has been wilfully and radically corrupted (especially inside the Church) I would refuse any miracle science that promised to extend my life substantially.
Getting old with a strong faith is sufficient for me.

thanks to Christopher Johnson and Donald McClarey for making it all so explicit , including the Nuremberg historical evidence.
I understand there are homeschoolers who use this blog . The education of many young voters has been lacking, especially on the history of the 20th century. In order for there to be real cultural re-formation in this country, we have to educate the young. They are not aware of the what has happened under nazism, communism or islam. We can go on very long with our voting public so undereducated. I think the internet and these kinds of blog post ( also “educate the pope” post) are a great boon.

Yo. *waves*
Although the use is quite indirect so far– the reading level here is a bit beyond the “still impressed by reading street signs” level. 😉
Jimmy Akin’s blog, and ones like it, were my introduction to there being anything substantive to learn about Catholicism– and resources to learn it.
I view commenting and writing to be paying it forward– if I can get just one other person to see some of the “oh, that is cool… response that I did, or even just help others and get the result….

Atheism imposed by the government. The denial that the human being is simultaneously imbued with a rational, immortal human soul with sovereign personhood at creation and procreation. A person who can and does love God by his very existence must be acknowledged as a human person by all men created equal and acknowledged by the Court. To love God and one’s neighbor as oneself, one must acknowledge the humanity of the neighbor. Atheism imposed by the government. “We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal and endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these rights are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” George Washington’s constitutional posterity is being aborted and used for cosmetics, research and sold for body parts. I saw the catalogue and prices. The National Catholic Register did an article on this catalogue almost two decades ago. It is in their archives. I may try to find it. It is on my hard drive.
