Perish the Thought That Biden has Dementia

Did you catch that Ilhan Omar has won her primary? This is a woman with an unprepossessing work history, a woman known to have committed immigration fraud (through the creepy expedient of contracting a civil marriage with her brother), a woman known to have engaged in self-dealing, a woman who despises the country that gave her refuge, a woman who despises the Jews (who have done no harm to her country of origin or her host country). She defeated a black lawyer with a satisfactorily ordered life. She represents a district where 63% of the population is white, so this cannot be put down to specifically ethnic alliegiances. Minneapolis is getting a good hard look at what a certain sort of leftist politician offers, brass tacks.
North of 40% of the electorate will eat a sh!t sandwich if the Democratic Party marketers put it in front of them. How did we get in this situation? Much of the population is disoriented by affluence and has lapsed into a collective unseriousness.
“They were careless people, Tom and Daisy- they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness or whatever it was that kept them together, and let other people clean up the mess they had made.”
A generation ago, Michael Kinsley offered that quotation in an assessment of Bernadine Dohrn and Wm. Ayers. Well, for eight years, we had someone from the circle of friends of these two sitting in the President’s chair. As we speak, that carelessness is everywhere among the professional-managerial element and among unmarried youths of all classes.
Minneapolis has a death wish.
Along with Seattle, Portland, Chicago, New York, St. Louis, Detroit ….
I’m sure there’s a reasonable explanation for why Biden is holding his phone upside down.
But when was the last time the Democrats behaved reasonably towards Republicans?
Dementia is actually a non-specific medical term that covers a lot of ailments that seem to manifest many of the same symptoms. In Biden’s case, the inability to hold a train of thought would not be disabling to the point of requiring institutionalizing but it is certainly disqualifying for the job of President. Keep in mind that in November we will be choosing between Trump and Harris for all practical purposes.
