Prediction: Biden Out

Well isn’t this interesting.  Video has surfaced of Tara Reade’s late mother calling The Larry King Live Show on CNN, rats now I will have his voice in my head all day, back on August 11, 1993 complaining as follows:

KING: San Luis Obispo, California, hello.

CALLER: Yes, hello. I’m wondering what a staffer would do besides go to the press in Washington? My daughter has just left there, after working for a prominent senator, and could not get through with her problems at all, and the only thing she could have done was go to the press, and she chose not to do it out of respect for him.

KING: In other words, she had a story to tell but, out of respect for the person she worked for, she didn’t tell it?

CALLER: That’s true.

The story was broken by the left-wing Intercept.  Go here to read the story.  The mainstream media has no longer been able to ignore the story, and the activist Left, or rather elements of it, are gearing up to protest Biden whenever he appears in public again which, admittedly, may be a very long time.  What is going on?

  1. Although Sanders has endorsed Biden, many of his followers remain un-reconciled.
  2. The Democrats think, because of the Wuhan Flu, that they have an excellent chance to beat Trump in November.
  3. Biden is giving every sign of being an elderly man whose faculties are giving way, and who can no longer read a simple text from a teleprompter without botching it.  Any debate with Trump would make shooting ducks in a barrel an even contest in comparison.
  4. Biden’s ties to China will be poison in an election after Trump gets through with ChinaBiden.
  5. In the age of MeToo the Democrats can’t simply ignore this now without risking a fair number of young, single women, their base along with blacks, deciding to stay home on Election Day, at least enough to likely lose the contested states they need.
  6. How long before some other women come forward?  Creepy Joe has been Creepy Joe around women forever.

I think even now the decision is being made by the DNC to have Biden withdraw, for the good of the party, or to simply dump him at the convention, no matter how mad Doctor Jill Biden gets.  As a party the Democrats have shown, unlike Republicans, little sentimentality, when saddled with a losing candidate, in attempting to dump and replace the sure loser.  Their main difficulty will be in the replacement, since Sanders’ followers will assume it should be him.  It won’t be, but if Sanders were to run as Veep the schism would probably be avoided.  Who would be at the top of the ticket?  Either Michele Obama or, if she won’t do it, Hillary Clinton.  You thought 2016 was surreal?  2020 is our year of the surreal for all of American history.

We are very concerned about the President, but who will take the House and Senate? And the majority of the governorships?

What this does establish is that if Tara Reade’s peddling a fiction, it’s one she cooked up a bloody long time ago. It also buttresses her brother’s veracity, which the media have been trying to undermine with claims he ‘changed his story’.

Oh, did you notice that Rod Dreher, who has never encountered an accusation against a clergyman he didn’t credit, hasn’t said a word about this? And, yes, the tosser is on Twitter.

If my conversations with committed Democrats is any guide, they have a half-dozen different ways of rationalizing. (The Correct-the-Record chump who plays a Canadian conservative on the Althouse blog road tested a few dodges a couple of days ago).

Dumping Biden would be an admission of error, and that they just do not do. This intellectual and moral pathology goes all the way down. As we saw in Virginia, scandals inconvenient to the Democratic Party just go away.

Michelle Obama demonstrates very little interest in public life above and beyond what you’d find in a newspaper-reading haut bourgeois. She’s interested in decorative arts and the daily business of being a mother. One of the curios of the Obama years was that you had in office the sort of post-American type who read The Nation and The New York Review of Books back in the day and his wife has more in common with Nancy Reagan than she does with Hillary Clinton (bar that its difficult to imagine Nancy Reagan mismanaging her finances so that he has to arrange a mortgage loan with a character like Tony Rezko). Be agreeable for Michelle if one thing she doesn’t have in common with NR is a daughter like Patti Reagan.

The idea of a Hillary coup at the convention has been a peculiar fantasy of the Democratic Party’s detractors. The last two months have now put the proposition on deck. She wants the job and no one else has a trump-card claim to the nomination as the primary season’s been aborted. It’s a challenge to imagine how either party will hold a convention. (I think a non-celebratory convention wherein delegates enter a hall in single file, cast a ballot, and leave might be practicable). The Democrats want a postal ballot so they can stuff the boxes more assiduously than they already do.

True, and it demonstrates how many professional conservatives were simply making a good buck off a con they didn’t really believe in.

That’s a reasonable inference about Damon Linker (of whom Rod Dreher is a protective admirer) and perhaps a few others (Jennifer Rubin, Matt K. Lewis, Max Boot). There was a poseur Republican taken out in the Journ-O-List scandal, who had a beat at the Washington Post. I’ve forgotten his name, other than he was just shy of 30 in 2010 (I see his name is David Weigel and he was rehired by the Post). With most of them, it appears they had zero rapport with or understanding of ordinary Republican voters and their reaction to this realization has been to howl at the moon. I don’t they were crypto-Democrats. Rather, they’ve been people motivated by displaying themselves rather than by any actual interest in policy or political theory. Look at Charen, who has an antique law degree, but has never been employed as an attorney or in any endeavor that did not involve writing in small doses. The Ethics and Public Policy Center has for years been wasting donor dollars on a salaried position for a woman who knows nothing of policy analysis.

I don’t know. Don’t underestimate the power of the devotees. Apparently over on Twitter, Mark Shea said Biden could be ‘guilty as hell’ of the charges and still be better than Trump. I can’t believe he is the only one willing to go to such lengths.

After they consult with the DNC and Pachamama, of course.

Jill Biden holds a EdD not an MD.

Which isn’t an authentic research degree or professional credential. There’s been a distressing quantum of credential inflation in perimedical occupations (‘doctorates’ in pharmacy, physical therapy, and the like). However, there’s no doubt that physical therapy, pharmacy, optometry, and clinical psychology incorporate discrete skill sets. There is no doubt that the study of the psychology of learning is an authentic program which can merit a research degree. Jill Biden never received any training in public administration (or philanthropic administration) in any venue. If she knows anything of psychology or sociology, it’s a course taken decades ago for distribution credits. She picked up a post-baccalaureate teaching degree (because you have to get one to stay employed even if the content is largely filler and nonsense) and then, 23 years later, handed in a dissertation for the EdD. (If I’m not mistaken, such programs commonly waive any requirement to take courses). It’s on a topic somewhere between sociology and marketing (how community colleges can hold on to their clientele – dollars to doughnuts she never discusses the possibility that her drop-outs are not college material). It’s about 40,000 words in length and there’s no indication from the cataloguing record she undertook any of the sort of statistical analysis necessary for a research degree in public policy, either.

We often talk about candidates only getting support because people are voting against their opponent, as happened with Kerry and Romney.

But this is the first time I recall supporters of a candidate explicitly saying that nothing about their candidate matters, since he is running against the right person. Supporter of Romney and Kerry at least pretended that they liked the policies of their candidate. But Biden supporters are starting to admit all of his faults, and then respond that it doesn’t matter because he’s not Trump.

So he very likely has dementia, or at least something which has reduced his mental capacity? Doesn’t matter, he’s not Trump.
So he very likely sexually assaulted at least one woman and probably more? Doesn’t matter, he’s not Trump.
I’ve seen many of them even say that if it turns out that Biden is unironically a serial killer, they would still vote for him (since after, he still wouldn’t be Trump).

I am pretty certain the USCCB won’t “consult” with Pachamama. They may, however, prostrate themselves in worship and humbly beg a boon from the earth goddess. They are dealing with a divine being, after all.

Whether the statue in the Vatican gardens ceremony of the pagan gentlemen on the blanket who sported a rampant (ahem) phallus will be included in the USCCB consultation is unclear.

Human sacrifice is no doubt under active consideration as Pachamama would be very impressed by the bishops earnestness in supporting selective culling of the human herd to save the planet. Methinks the seamless garment argument could be deployed to justify human sacrifices. Given its past use by the episcopacy it is clear it is a very flexible and progressive theological principle that can support very difficult moral and political choices.

Approximately 2,000 years ago, St. Paul in his Letter to the Romans addressed the issue of worshipping creation/creatures ahead of the Creator.

Lucius, Why should I be charitable about Fredo’s uglier sibling?

Let’s see. Sonny’s certainly not in China’s pocket nor is he nearly as demented as China Joe. That’s about as good as it gets.

Why not let him wreck the entire country? He has three terms, solid experience with wrecking NY’s economy and tax base. Earlier, as HUD Sec’y under Clinton, Shameless, Jr. was instrumental in setting the stage (requiring 50% of FHLMC/FNMA mortgage loan purchases to be to low-to-moderate income/Dem special interest clients) for the 2008 subprime mortgage crisis and great recession.

Why do China Joe Democrats love lock downs? Because lock downs wrecked Trump’s economic record [collateral damage = bankrupted blue/welfare states and killed their public employees’ salaries, jobs, and pensions – they ain’t too bright] and they hate Trump, America and ordinary Americans.

Spot on, Donald. Before the primaries began, Kamala Harris was the darling of the democrat elite since she was seen by them as the female version of Obama. Having failed to succeed in the primaries, the change of focus has likely supported Harris for VP because she would be the public power behind a Biden throne if he succeeded, and she can run for prez herself later if certain developments take place. As such, she could be in public power for a potential of 16 years while the dem elite pull the strings behind the scenes. This is why, prior to recent revelations, they would accept Biden in a diminished state.

But now as the scandals gain traction, if indeed it leads to the Biden removal, then the push may very well be for a Cuomo-Harris ticket or a Michelle-Harris ticket or a Hillary-Harris ticket. And the mainstream media will go all out to bully Americans into voting for the ticket of color and women unless they are bigots and stupid……

All nightmare scenarios, especially to the extent that the lockdowns continue, which do indeed add support to the mail-in ballot scheme.

Biden painted himself (and the dems) in a corner when he said the VP candidate would be a woman. Seems he didn’t notice that in the primaries none of the women had staying power. The puppet masters will have a problem now with two different chores; somehow pulling the rug from under Biden and finding a candidate that won’t scare the country into voting to re-elect Trump.

Art is right. Biden will be the nominee. The Media will largely ignore the accusation and deep inside know it doesn’t matter. The November election will be a referendum on Trump. He will win or he will lose. His opponent hardly matters,
