Dale Price and his family have taken in a sick cat. Such acts of disinterested kindness are bright spots in this Vale of Tears. At the Particular Judgment the evil we have done will be recalled by Christ, but also our acts of charity.

Mrs. Price once snapped a picture of a cat sacked out on her husband’s extended legs and posted it on their domestic blog. IIRC, on the couch was also a couple of their children (who, I think, are now in their middle 20s).
Thank you. We have turned into a landing place for wayward cats over the years, all of them strays except for one rehomed.
Cosette (as she has been named) was spotted by my youngest daughter under a neighbor’s shrub. We managed to get her in with a bit of a bite-laden struggle on the kitten’s part. She was weak and disoriented then, and has been nothing but a sweetheart since. Badly malnourished, but that is being remedied, and the antibiotics cleared out her eyes and the rasp in her lungs. Just need the follow-up blood test to determine the type of leukemia. But regardless of the type, from Saturday on every day she has on this earth is playing with house money.
