I posted this on X / Twitter. It’s politically very incorrect. I got no time for hippies like Prevost who used slogans about clean water as they marched in protest in front of the entry gates to the Indian Point nuclear power plants, block our way into work in the morning. They’ve finally succeeded in shutting those plants down, and replacement power is dirty and polluting, but they don’t protest against that.
Your useless pontification about clean water will do NOTHING to supply this necessity to the poor of impoverished, poverty-stricken countries, Your Worthless. I have worked in the nuclear power industry for 50 years, providing pollution-free, safe power, something you as a Pharisee and a self-righteous hypocrite ever ingratiating himself with the liberal elite have never ever done. The text below describes how to provide abundant clean potable water using this technology. Now you shut your Chicago Democrat mouth and start doing what God called His Vicar to do: calling people to repentance and holiness. And BTW, you must publicly repent for protesting in the 1980s with Italian communists against your own country’s deterrence to protect NATO and counter Soviet nuclear aggression in Warsaw Pact countries. Nuclear energy can be effectively used to desalinate and purify water by coupling nuclear reactor heat and electricity with industrial distillation or membrane separation systems. This will work whether the nuclear design is a pressurized or boiling water reactor, a Candu heavy water reactor, a liquid metal fast breeder reactor, or a high temperature helium cooled graphite moderated reactor. Use of fuel (enriched U-235, mixed oxide fuel with Pu-239, or U-233 bred from Th-232) does not matter. This co-generation approach offers a low-carbon, cost-competitive alternative to fossil-fuel-powered water treatment, and can provide abundant, clean potable water almost anywhere in the world (except of course deserts, where pumping clean water becomes necessary, but the electricity for the pump motors is easily supplied by nuclear electric generation).
How the Process Works to Desalinate and Purify Water
Electricity Generation (Reverse Osmosis): Nuclear fission creates steam that drives turbines to produce electricity. This carbon-free power runs high-pressure electric pumps in Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems, which force seawater through fine, semi-permeable membranes to filter out salts and impurities.
Using Waste Heat (Thermal Desalination): Traditional plants lose about two-thirds of their thermal energy as waste heat. Instead of releasing low-grade steam into the air, nuclear facilities can (and would) pipe this excess thermal energy directly into distillation units.
Now I am not going to debate any of the inevitable post-Vatican II environmentalist detractors to what I posted. You all can go straight to hell as far as I am concerned. I am finished with the liberal progressive hypocrisy and heterodoxy of the Institutional Church, and as far as I am concerned, the sooner it’s all burned to the ground, the better. Ezekiel 8 through 11 should serve as a warning to the Vatican and @USCCB.
Whenever I read things like this, it is hard to escape the thought that there are actually individuals who truly believe there are people who *want* dirty water (or pollution, take your pick), as if they sit around like mustache twirling villains….
