the one thousand five hundred and tenth year from Moses
and the going forth of the people of Israel from Egypt;

the one thousand and thirty-second year from David’s being anointed king;

in the sixty-fifth week according to the prophecy of Daniel;

in the sixth age of the world,

St. Augustine said: “God created us without us but he will not save us without us”.

And here is our quest. To bring as many as possible to the crib in Bethlehem. To tell all what we have seen, what we have heard. To instill in others the great Joy of finding the child and having His Mother, our mother, invite us in closer to ponder the greatest miracle of all time.

God becoming a baby, suffering hardships, healing, forgiving and sacrificing himself so that you may have life. Yes. Life in abundance.

Merry Christmas TAC.
May our King bestow His Peace upon you and yours this new year, 2022.

Merry Christmas to all.
If I may engage in a slight diversion:
I love that litany from the Roman Martyrology of December 24. It is, of course, part of the legacy of the traditional liturgy that the current occupants of the Holy See wish to put down the memory hole. Among the many things for which we should pray, especially on this day, I ask everyone to pray that the true gift of Christmas, the love of Christ Himself, might find its way into the hearts of all who seek and delight in the exercise of power over others, especially in the Church. Let’s also pray that the faithful who seek only to worship Christ in the traditional manner and form no longer be treated as pariahs by the hierarchy of the very Church that Christ established. What was sacred and holy for centuries before 1970 cannot be rendered anathema by decree of any man or group of men, no matter their ecclesial rank.
Don, again, many thanks for your daily labors in producing this blog, and many thanks to all who comment here. You all have become an enjoyable and valuable part of my every day. God bless us, every one!
