LeoWatch: Lord of the Rings

If Liberation Theologians can make a bad faith case for the Communists, I am sure they could do the same for the Lord of Mordor.

Mordor is a symbol of religious freedom,  and at this moment, those who best realize the social doctrine of the Church are the Orcs.

there is a statement that rings out..
“A WIZARD SHOULD KNOW BETTER!!!….”

what’s being proposed in Magnifica Humanitas is the turning over of large language computing (AI) to governments rather than competing individuals for “humanity’s benefit”… as if governments aren’t made up of sinful human beings.. and as if governments when given that kind of control could not possibly do worse… terrible sinful things. when it is more likely not less likely that governments would! and on top of that(!) humanity is exalted.. Christ not.. the encyclical speaks of Building a Tower of Babel.. .while proposing humanity escape the “fear” of AI by humanity building a utopia on earth through AI/governments without God.

Zing!

Yes, it would be MUCH more effective than ignored dubia if bishops would publicly ask such questions.

Since that’s unlikely, the laity should do it. After all they can’t get “fired” or sent to Our Lady of Siberia for lack of slavish obedience.

Ed Feser is embarrassing himself on X trying to defend the pope. At the rate, I wouldn’t be surprised if he has a “Come to Francis” moment on the death penalty.

I wonder how long it will be before the ‘eye of Sauron’ will turn to the FSSP. As one commentator noted, there is no place in the new sin-nod-all religion for traditional Catholicism which stands in the way of the OWO.

If the Vatican decides to target the FSSP or the ICKSP……the SSPX will grow exponentially.

CAG:
Religion is a sovereign person’s loving relationship with “their Creator”, God. Jesus Mary and Joseph save souls.
Government instituted by the consent of the governed must protect the freedom of the free will that is our inheritance and blessing from “their Creator”.
Who can contrive or coerce a loving relationship with God without destroying the human being?

Mary De Voe:

“Religion, by definition is about bringing people together.

It’s about affirmation, it’s about life, it’s about friendship, it’s about reconciliation.”

~ Cardinal Diamond Tim Dolan.

I like your definition better, Cardinal Dolan’s definition sounds like a bowling league.

Here’s more inane quotes from hireling shepherds:

“Mongolia is a symbol of religious freedom”

~ Pope Francis

“at this moment, those who best realize the social doctrine of the Church are the Chinese”

~ Bishop Marcelo Sanchez Sorondo
