Too many idiots in the Church act as if it were.  Bravo to Father Murray!

and the stanchions around the place for the Pope’s Mass since the spirit of Vatican II has devasted our churches, removed our stained glass windows, kneelers, altar rails, tabernacles. Even Catholic crucifixes have become Protestant.

David WS, funny you should say that. We’ve been discussing this with the boys, especially our youngest who is still in school. One quipped ‘which part of Imagine would the Church deny today?’ My guess is the ‘imagine there’s no heaven/above us only sky’ part. Beyond that, I actually can’t say for sure.

Dec. 8th 1980

Death day of Mr. John Lennon.

Feast day of The Immaculate Conception.

…..let it be, let it be..Mother Mary come to me..speaking words of wisdom…let it be.

Who shall be considered least in the Kingdom of Heaven?

Wisdom from the beetle(s) v wisdom from the Bible.

Tell your sons to choose wisely.

“..and I saw Angels ascending and descending from Heaven..”…..”Our Father, who art in Heaven, hollowed be thy name….”

To John Lennon….”When I get to the bottom And go back to the top then I slide then I stop than I turn then I go for a ride till I get to the bottom and I see you again yeah yeah yeah yeah.

I guess in hell he is more popular than Jesus Christ.

off topic..:/

Paul wrote, Let it Be .. referencing his mother during a time of anxiety.

“John Lennon hated this song because of it’s apparent Christian overtones. He made the comment before recording it, “And now we’d like to do Hark The Angels Come.” Lennon saw to it that “Maggie Mae,” a song about a Liverpool prostitute, followed it on the album.”

Philip-

Be careful in deciding who is in Heaven or in Hell.

Many things are hidden from us, even about people we know well. The dialogue with God is mostly internal, on a private line. Who knows what last minute graces Christ may have given Lennon? Or not.

I hope that he made it to at least the hinterlands of God’s country – as I hope for all men. I do not, however, think it likely.

I love Lennon because I am commanded to love all. (I do, however, hate “Imagine”!)
