You reminded me Don of someone that I think would have been great in your later post. William F Buckley Jr. Anyone that prayed the rosary daily in the Oval Office would have been wonderful for this country.

This is more of a question than endorsement of the man.

Do you believe Charlie Kirk would of made a good choice? I believe he was on a trajectory to join the Catholic Church. What he would of been lacking in geopolitics he would of soon caught up to speed, based upon his thirst for knowledge.

I viewed many of his debates with young adults & liberal profs. and I liked his wit with his sense of compassion especially at moments where he could of crumpled their spirit.

Federal borrowing in 1945 amounted to 14% of GDP. In 1947, it amounted to -1% of GDP. If we could have James Forrestal out of Truman’s cabinet and a Congress with dispositions like that one….
