A young woman, Noelia Castillo Ramos, suffering from mental problems, is repeatedly gang raped by illegal aliens, jumps off a five story building to commit suicide and is rendered paralyzed, to an extent, from the waste down. She should have had compassionate treatment. Instead the Spanish government gave her euthanasia, a first for Spain, a move fought by her father every step of the way through the courts. (Her mother also disagreed with her wish to have herself killed) Apparently she began to have second thoughts in the days leading up to her death, but the harvesting of her organs was scheduled and it is alleged, by the best friend, that the hospital kept her best friend away who intended to try to convince her to not go through with it. Spain used to be the heart of Catholicism and now it is much like the rest of Europe where death of the inconvenient is the solution for everything. That this occurs during Lent shows how far down a very dark path Spain has gone, and we in the US are eagerly keeping pace with this race to the pit. May God have mercy on this poor girl’s soul and may we turn the tide in this love affair with the death of the innocent.

I’m too angry to comment on this.
Mirror completely LKL’s feeling. Satan rules over so many people and they blindly follow his commands. I’m sure Satan’s minions are saying it was done in “mercy and compassion.” Pure evil.
I don’t think it’s accurate to refer to this as communism. Spain is about average for European socialism. There’s not much central planning or government ownership, there are multiple parties, and it’s more federalist than most. Chavez’s party is considered to be Social Democrat.
The problem here isn’t communism, and it’s not limited within communist circles. We’ve got to stop throwing around the term or it’ll lose all its meaning. What they did was evil.
I agree with Pinky that this darkness is not confined to just one -ism.
I think ultimately the -ism most responsible is atheism, however out modern world acknowledges several dark “gods” that would be okey dokey with this.
It *is* evil. Evil to let evil deeds go unpunished. Evil to encourage or condone suicide. Evil to prevent people of good will from dissuading the suicidal person. Evil to use “procedure” as an excuse and a crutch to facilitate the evil.
Evil has almost limitless versions, but it has only one opposite – good. “None is good but God alone.” Luke 18:19 When we flee evil, then, there is really nowhere else to run to, except God.
What a terrifying realization for one who turns away from evil, but still wishes to run from God! For my part, I thank God that I was more afraid of the dark than I was of Him – even if just barely!
The Spanish Socialists have a tradition of being more extreme than the Spanish Communists. That was usually the case during the Spanish Civil War. After the death of Franco, the Spanish Socialists presented a more moderate face. For the past 20 years the Spanish Socialists have been racing to the Left.
The shortest verse in the Bible. Also, one packed with meaning.
