Kent supposedly was the head of the Counterterrorism Center. He seems to have spent much of his time leaking to the press, so much so that he was recently cut off from classified briefings. Trump has always had a fondness for combat veterans, but in the case of Kent that proclivity served him poorly. Kent has always struck me as an intellectual light weight. In 2023 he married a Lefty antisemite, and I suspect she has been doing much of his thinking for him since the nuptials.
