De mortuis nil nisi bonum so I will have virtually nothing to say today about Jackson who had been in ill health for some time. I hope he used the opportunity thus provided to prepare himself for his particular judgment.

RIP.
Jackson supported the Schiavo family and prayed with them during Terri’s judicial execution. He joined the call for Jeb Bush to do something.
Jackson was a hanger on of the MLK legacy. Whatever small good he did came from that. The rest can be left to History and the Almighty.
His Rainbow Coalition and Operation Push were shakedown organizations. He used to walk around the Capitol claiming he was a “shadow senator” of New Columbia. Marion Barry said of Jackson, “He don’t wanna run nuthin’ but his mouth.
As for the good he did, I am unaware, but it is certain he din and will give credit where credit is due.
