Modern Canada, the land of my sainted mother, has mutated into a fit ally for Red China.

The Canadian political class (with the assistance of the Canadian media) treats the Canadian public horribly. The public in Canada hardly react to this. I gather opinion surveys in Australia are showing some resistance now. Not enough, but some.
Modern Canada.. reminds me of a horror movie where a cult of “nice” people… led by psychopaths.. always go with whatever the “group” wants.. and chant “for the greater good”….”
Only Catholicism can save this crazy world of ours.
Indeed, Matthew. And the institutional Church mostly sits by and watches, having long since given up its role as the moral authority for the world. We laity will have to spearhead the restoration. Deus vult!

Evil people rarely say they’re gonna do evil things. They always wrap it up in something nice like “saving the children.” See the EU’s and UK’s current efforts to stifle free speech in the public war they’re having with Elon Musk. That’s the reason why Hot Fuzz is such a funny movie.
“Life unworthy of life” was the dictum started by Nazi proponents of euthanasia in the early 1930s. It has been resurrected and cleaned up for the present day.
5% of all deaths in Canada are from MAID (Medical Assistance in Dying), making it in the top 5 causes of death for the whole country. They import more people than they give birth to, and then they kill off 1 in 20.
Yet, what seems to bother Canadians the most is Trump’s 51st state joke, not having won a Stanley Cup since 1993 and expansion hockey teams in the Sun Belt instead of Quebec City.
As a whole, Canadians are lovely, but their political caste is composed entirely of garbage— they actually make our nomenclatura look better in comparison, which is tough to do.
