Cradle Catholic. Active in the pro-life movement since 1973. Father of three, one in Heaven, and happily married for 43 years. Small town lawyer and amateur historian. Former president of the board of directors of the local crisis pregnancy center for a decade.
I began in 1958. I presumed the world even predated my parents and grandparents. I have a friend who’s son will be ordained this Spring in the Latin Rite. I envy them.
The Roman guys are trying to be Methodists and drive the Faith into the ground. The 1960’s were the devils playground and he made the most of it. V II was a mistake. And back to back conclave failures isn’t helping matters.
Excuse my rambling but I am work and thoughts are just flying out.
“Too many clerics act as is nothing existed in the history of the Church prior to Vatican II…” & the Bergolian Papacy (Captivity).
Any Catholic with half a brain and an ounce of humility knows that can’t be true. And that Sense is becoming more & more apparent.
Look, Vat-2 was great for its time and all, but it lacked that certain, special something to give it that extra audience appeal.
Introducing New and Improved Vat-2 2026 … Now with Synodality!
Clerics and college professors. I remember sitting in classes in the late 90’s/early aughts being told repeatedly with a straight face that Vatican II made the Church a “democracy”. That the term “People of God” was indicative of a fading hierarchy.
Straight up Marxist framing.
Which illustrates exactly the problem with Archbp. Edward J. Weisenburger (b. 1960) and Bp Michael Martin (b. 1961).
What a beautiful world was birthed by Vatican II and the 1960’s. Yes.
