Agree with some of the above and disagree with other portions, especially the allegation as to the US Deep State, whatever that means in this context, the US bishops and cardinals playing a distinctly minor role at Vatican II. The simple truth is that most bishops would vote to require the Laity to paint their bottoms yellow if a pope supported such insanity. It took a brave man as a bishop to disagree with the type of years long papal push that inflicted Vatican II on the Church, and bishops are almost never selected on the basis of their moral courage.

As bad (ambiguous) as many of The Council™ documents are, what we’ve been handed in the name of The Council™ in the years since certainly isn’t contained in them.
Those of us, especially former government employees, know full well the meaning and effects of the term “government by committee”. My first year theology teacher at the time was a hopeful sort but even he could not see what was coming. We continue to hope and pray but never surprised to see what comes down the road these days.
“By their fruits ye shall know them.” Look at the fruit of Vatican Council II. Whatever its documents say or are purported to say, it was an abysmal failure and has led the Institutional Church into all manner of heterodoxy.
