Catholics being treated with contempt for what Catholics have always believed. Pope Leo is carrying on a dangerous tradition by Pope Francis. Sooner or later faithful Catholics will get the message that rather than a Holy Father, they have an abusive father, and act accordingly.

Stunning to find out that for two thousand years, the Church was never really pro-life.
Obviously unlike his brother, Pope Leo XIV (an American citizen by birth) is a Democrat. I now have all I need to know: a Pope who thinks he can override Genesis 9:6 and teach counter to 2000 years of Sacred Tradition. I am disgusted.
His worst statement was “I don’t know much about this-“.. then going off with a full gaslighting of those who believe what the Church has always Taught on the death penalty, misrepresenting what the Church Actually Teaches on immigration and praising Durbin for his “service” as a Senator -something more of a privilege.. even if you discount the wanton murder of the unborn -which cannot be done.
No sir, you were prepared.
He’s from Illinois. He is one year older than me. Durbin has been a fixture in Illinois politics for almost 50 years. The Pope was being disingenuous to put it politely.
I was very troubled by his “I don’t know much about this” introduction to his statement. If you don’t know, don’t answer! What’s a Papal Nuncio for but to inform the Pope that there is a major issue brewing in America and he needs to deal with it. A lack of crucial information was apparent here, Then comes an extremely disappointing statement that made the bishop who came out against Cardinal Cupich look like out-of-touch extremists.
This matter was poorly handled and I pray that Pope Leo has learned how these situations can lead to big trouble if not taken care of in a good, correct and holy manner.
One last thing: Can Pope’s do away with off the cuff Q & A’s? it only leads to trouble. I’m not saying no sessions like that, but either have the questions written down so proper answers can be given, or one on one interviews where preparation can take place and the chance of a bad answer is minimized. Pope Francis caused confusion because of inappropriate answers, we don’t need another Pope doing that.
Hold to Tradition, to the Truth, to Our Lord.
It seems we may be in for more of the same, despite our hopes.
There are only so many times a man can hit you with an elbow before you stop believing it is an accident. Be patient with men of good faith who still think all the preceding elbows were all accidents. If they are men of good will, they will realize in time.
Be hurt, feel betrayed, shake heads.
Be angry but do not sin.
Regrettably, we have been here before. However, that should give us confidence that we can do this again. How I wish we did not have to!
New boss seems the same as the old boss of recent miserable memory.

Eucharistic Adoration, early morning hours alone -if you can snag an open hour.
Showing up at extra times during the week just before the end of an hour will give you additional alone time…
(all this will appear as noise.. which it is… from hell.)
Amen David WS. Amen.
Good thing the Creed does not define or attempt to define what is a relatively new political term “pro-life.”
Very disappointed in Francis 2.0
The problem with that argument is that an unborn child is innocent, helpless and blameless. It has committed no crime, broke no law and harmed nobody. Abortion is terminating it’s life by the person who is meant to protect it – their mother.
A person on death row has done all the above. Infact most of the time they themselves have taken another life. It’s justice and the protection of society.
How are the two the same? The pro-life argument is an argument about the unborn. It does not have anything to do with prisoners or immigrants etc…how did this become about the death penalty?
The short of it is its comparing apples and oranges.
Why does no one ever say the corollary?
“Someone who says I’m against the death penalty but is in favor of abortion is not really pro-life.”
The “seamless garment” can only be torn apart one way?
God is the God of life. The devil is a murderer. Every murderer is doing the devil’s work. Every murderer imposes the death penalty on his victim. Every murderer believes in the death penalty. What are we, the people, the state, to do about the death penalty be imposed on innocent persons without trial and/ or being found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt?
How can one person, the murderer have his life while the other person, his neighbor be put to death to satisfy the blood lust of the devil?
Equal Justice for all persons, citizens of the state then must require the death penalty for the one person who has imposed the death penalty on his neighbor.
We, the people, the state, are pro-life for all victims of murder; the death penalty. We, the people, the state, cannot be held responsible for what the murderer has acted upon in his free will; his power of attorney claims the freedom, the act as a free person to bring retribution for the slain, slaughtered innocent victim, to bring equal Justice into society and repair the damage done to the peace of the people.
This being the salvation of the guilty. The murderer brings equal Justice to the people and deterrence to prevent murder with which the murderer has scandalized the people, the state.
Deterrence of murder is pro-life.
Correction

Everyone, including convicted mass murderers have a right to life. No one “takes that right from” a mass murderer.. they FORFEIT that right by their own action(s).
Capital punishment isn’t always warranted, but sometimes it is- to guarantee a healthy Society.
Folks,
His Holiness is going full throttle liberal progressive environmentalist:
http://www.vatican.va/content/leo-xiv/en/speeches/2025/october/documents/20251001-conferenza-mariapoli.html
He has made his choice. No capital punishment. Unrestricted illegal immigration. And more environmentalist climate change nonsense. At least it’s good to know where we stand: exactly where we did under Pope Francis. Pope Leo XIV may be quieter and more cordial, but he has the same erroneous outlook that his predecessor had.

Hmmm. The Laurentide ice sheet covered North America and formed Cape Cod 20,000 years ago. I’m glad it’s gone. Mankind had nothing to do with its disappearance. Pagans then celebrated its disappearance. They were wiser.
The insidious, grave miscarriage of Justice denying the murderer of homicide in the first degree; homicide in the first degree is premeditating, hating, planning, waiting and killing his hated neighbor.
Accidental killing is called manslaughter.
Unplanned death of an opponent is homicide in the second degree.
Only homicide in the first degree deserves capital punishment, the death penalty.
To say that the premediated murder was not the act of the murderer or that the murderer does not have free will, citizenship and power of attorney is to deny God “their Creator” and the victim.
It must be said that the statement that the death penalty is not pro-life, look at who is saying it.
Persons may take a conscientious objection or a religious objection but they may not deny the murderer Justice.

Deterrence of homicide is very pro-life.
Buy a couple more millstones. Jesus might need them to protect the innocent children.
Thanks.
