I look forward to reading this every year. His life would probably make a good movie.
Like a friend of mine used to say about an individual who did something wild, outrageous, or downright fantastic, “Hell of a man, Steve!”
I’d say this fellow makes me think of The Patriot. I think Martin’s character was loosely based on Francis Marion in the South though.
