I have high hopes for our good Pope Leo.
St. John Paul and Pope Benedict also remembered what it was to fight and live under repressive, dangerous regimes, and it showed in their dealings with those governments and their protection of those who were oppressed.
I am of the impression that Pope Leo is a man who thinks about what he says before he opens his mouth or writes anything – which has been sorely lacking the last few years and is very welcome, IMO.
What we need in this day and time is a Pope who is courageous, very wise, and faithful – and who displays heroic virtue. I think and expect this of Pope Leo. God bless and protect him!
I am very happy and relieved to see this … I was a bit worried when I saw that his pectoral cross didn’t have a corpus on it.
