Burn of the Day

The Founding Fathers would be astounded by the manner in which Americans have tamely submitted to the rule of judges.  In their day judges were harmless creatures dealing with weighty matters like whether a wandering cow belonged to which farmer, and how much time the town drunk should spend in the stocks for vomiting on the mayor’s wife.  The United States Supreme Court would not strike down a Federal statute again after Marbury v. Madison (1803),  until it struck down the Missouri Compromise in 1857 in the case of Dred Scott v. Sandford.  If they had foreseen the rule of judges the Founding Fathers  likely would have limited their terms and allowed for conviction of judges in the Senate by simple majority vote.  The Founding Fathers understood that our most precious civil right is the right to rule ourselves.

Apparently that district court judge who is at the center of the current fracas is also the one whom Roberts appointed as head of the FISA Court, so there’s more here than just “looking out for the judiciary”; this is also Roberts covering his own tracks and there’s also probably some kind of blackmail going on, not dissimilar from when Roberts magically determined that the Affordable Care Act was a “tax”.

As always, Roberts is doing this for his image by pandering to the left. But he would do well to remember that there is no one on the left who would not be glad to see him impeached for decisions like Trump v. United States.

Roberts has made an ass out of himself again. The last occasion was covering-up the identity of the person who leaked the Alito draft.

The Supreme Court in Roe v. Wade determined that the unborn human being was not a human being. The Supreme Court determined that the soul of the unborn did not exist. Separation of Church and State determines that the Supreme Court has no jurisdiction over a relationship of God and man called religion and the freedom thereof.
Sometimes I believe that our politicians cannot read or choose to not read our Declaration of Independence or our Constitution. Founding documents that clearly protect our Constitutional “Posterity”
Those people burning their bras cannot change Natural Law or Mother Nature. To use a phrase from advertising: “It’s not nice to fool Mother Nature.”

I’m beginning to wonder if one of the purposes in Trump’s actions is to reveal the dysfunctional relationship of the three branches of government. Perhaps his best function will be to make people (or 51% of the people) see what they can’t unsee. That our system has been eroded and undermined by people who are wicked or lazy or both and that great change is needed to preserve the America we thought we were living in.
