Acts of War

Whenever there is a declared war between the United States and any foreign nation or government, or any invasion or predatory incursion is perpetrated, attempted, or threatened against the territory of the United States by any foreign nation or government, and the President makes public proclamation of the event, all natives, citizens, denizens, or subjects of the hostile nation or government, being of the age of fourteen years and upward, who shall be within the United States and not actually naturalized, shall be liable to be apprehended, restrained, secured, and removed as alien enemies. The President is authorized in any such event, by his proclamation thereof, or other public act, to direct the conduct to be observed on the part of the United States, toward the aliens who become so liable; the manner and degree of the restraint to which they shall be subject and in what cases, and upon what security their residence shall be permitted, and to provide for the removal of those who, not being permitted to reside within the United States, refuse or neglect to depart therefrom; and to establish any other regulations which are found necessary in the premises and for the public safety.

50 USC  3- Alien Enemies

The President is never stronger under the Constitution than when exercising his Article II authority as Commander in Chief.  The Federal courts have normally understood this.  I think  that Judge James Boasberg, who attempted to usurp the power of the Commander in Chief in “ordering” that the planes carrying Venezuelan gang members, in international air space, turn around and return to the US, will soon be reminded as to why this is an area where most of what the President does is non-justiciable  in that the Constitution has awarded to the President supremacy in this sphere of government activity.

I do appreciate the clarity of people who are willing to take the side of foreign gangs, eco-terrorists, cop-killers, and criminal aliens in general before our own citizens. They haven’t called it the Great Unmasking for nothing…

President of El-Salvador apparently “share[s] the same concern President Trump [has with] immigration, but for different reasons […] [Trump] doesn’t want our people to go; I don’t want our people to leave.”

So he sees El-Salvadorans leaving the country as a lost opportunity to improve conditions in the country. And realises that it puts a strain on countries like the US. And if he has shoved them straight into El-Salvadoran prisons then he even feels the same way about hardened criminals.

Either he is being honest or he realises he has no choice but to co-operate.

Hey sluggard legislators!
If you didn’t want the Chief Executive to do Chief Executive stuff, you shouldn’t have broadened the powers of the Executive Branch (aka the President) over the past 200 years!

Congress *could* move to amend the Alien Enemies Act, but they prefer to legislate by black robed autocrats instead. Despicable bunch…

If I had any discretionary income, I would purchase an extra-large t-shirt for every influencer that wears a two-sizes-too-small polo shirt so they can show off their mighty puny bb-guns.

To all the people saying we have a Constitutional crisis because President Trump ignored a low level judge, can a low level Executive Branch employee order the Supreme Court to do anything? There seems to be a pretty inflated view of the power of the judiciary…

Do you support the Rep. move to impeach Judge B. (and a number of his colleagues) for ruling (however erroneously) against Trump?

Self-defense is a God-given right. A right not to be infringed.

There was an episode a couple of years ago of the then Tucker Carlson show with a visit to El Salvador’s prisons with gang members. The young president spoke fluent English. He described how he had turned his country around for the better with his country being sater than the US.

And John Roberts, who has no business posting anything but SCOTUS decisions on social media, needs to shut up and do his job.

The Supreme Court interprets law in a way that the left doesn’t like, and all the news organizations talk about how the courts are clearly overstepping their authority.

Some rando judge declares that the president doesn’t have the right to exercise his power, and the media pretends that all judges must be obeyed without question.

It’s all so tiresome.
